Re: Does Anyone Have Supply Chain Info?

It is interesting that some think the shortage is do to panic buying due to the pandemic. I think it is panic buying due to the unrest in our major democratic controlled large cites and the fear that police departments may reduce numbers in some cities.

Re: Availability on Tristar Canik pistols

Those of you who are fans of Canik’s Tristar line of pistols have probably noticed that nearly every model is sold out of every gun shop and online gun store. I did find that impactguns.com is taking backorders on a few models. I also found that the C100 tungsten gray models are currently in stock ...

Re: Availability on Tristar Canik pistols

The Vortex sight on the Canik PT9 SFx pistol is the Viper sight. Not the preferred choice. I would not buy the Viper. It has a poor reliability history. You will have a better package by buying the SFx and a Vortex Venom separately, if you want a Vortex. There are other very good red dots you could ...

Re: Thinking about an SFX

I've decided to go for the SFX, but of course my LGS doesn't have one, can't find one and can't order one. I may end up with an auction deal which will cost me, but at least I'll be able to get one this year. Hi wbw, Grab-A-Gun has the Black Out version for $529. You won't have any problems with th...

Re: What did you pay for the Elite Subcompact?

Grab-A-Gun sells it for $399.99 to $419.99 depending which one you buy. They don't have any in stock right now. If you can find one I would buy it.

Hi Xcane,

If you can't see a red dot is it because of the color or something else? If it is color, have you tried a green dot?

I saw the announcement someone shared in our FB group. The red dots look pretty nice. Hope they are eventually available in the U.S. Looks like the name for the brand is Mecanik.
Any chance we could get someone to share it on the forum too?

Re: CANiK Red Dot sight just announced

Maybe they will stop using the Vortex Viper on their SFX package deals. That would be a good thing.

I wonder if our friend from Turkey (zeda3000) has any information.

Re: Green dot

Hi Racerxxx77, With the SF you will need a dovetail mount to use a red dot sight. You might be able to find one tapped for a slide tracker. Or you could drill and tap a hole in the mount for the slide tracker. You would need a sight base for a Glock dovetail cut. I put in a link for the Strike Indus...

Alaska rivers look a lot a like but that looks like the Delta River. Maybe the Tanana.

Re: New to all this

Hi tnez13,

My first Canik was a SF Series One. I have shot about 5000 rounds and not one jam or problem of any type. I mean absolutely no problems from the first mag to the last. You will like that gun.

Welcome to the forum.

Re: Vortex Venom 6 MOA Not Available

Hi Everyone, I never did locate a new Venom. I ended up with a Holosun HE507C-GR-V2. I haven't shot it yet but it seems to work well with the Shake-A-Wake. I wish the single dot was a bit larger. I thought the thick bezel would bother me but it is not a problem. Looks like a nice sight. Thanks for y...

Hi zeda3000,

Thanks for the information about MacWet gloves. Do you use the short wrist or the long wrist? They are also available from Amazon.

Re: Just starting to get into reloading (another one)

My first reloading vise was a RCBS A2 press that could be used for heavy swaging. I built a portable table that I could slide in and out of a closet. When I got to a new location I would put it in a closet and do my reloading sitting in the doorway. I designed the table top so I could full length si...

I don't care for the thick Bezel on the Holosun 507c compared to the Venom. I have not shot one so don't know if that is a real problem or not.

Re: Cleaning Canik hammer fired CZ clones

I use Hornady One Shot on my Canik. I use it to flush out the working parts. It will evaporate and leave a dry lubricant/protectant on the metal parts. One drop of oil on the slide rail stubs and wipe to remove excess.

Vortex Venom 6 MOA Not Available

I can't find a Venom 6 MOA any where. I saw some other post about a new model coming. If that is correct, does anyone know when the new model will be on sale? Any suggestions on another choice? I don't think I want a Holosun. Maybe a Burrus. I already have a Venom and very satisfied with it. Any hel...

I was working in a gun shop back in the 50's while I was going to high school. I remember the 340 coming into the shop and as a teenage boy I thought it was the ugliest rifle I had seen. In the 50's we were selling Win M70, Rem 721/722/725, Brownings with FN Mauser actions and the best stock design ...

Re: Reliable 22lr Pistol?

Hi Janik, If you shoot targets or think you might shoot 22lr steels or other competition, then take a look at the S&W Victory. Very accurate, very reliable and not a lot of money to start with. I think I paid $315 with a threaded barrel. Lots of after market addons. Simple to break down and easy to ...
