Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Interesting and disappointing. Did they happen to give you the dimensions of the plate? Is it this sight? https://www.shieldpsd.com/shop-2/rmsc-reflex-mini-sight-compact-8moa If so, at $380USD, that will be tough to swallow It's a tough decision between losing your rear sights or keeping them and b...

Re: Retention vs. the rest?

My primary carry is AIWB, and the passive retention of the kydex holsters is enough. I've never had an issue, even rolling around on the floor roughhousing with the kids. My old Alien Gear gen1 does pretty well for only having kydex on one side. For any kind of open carry or range/training carry, I'...

Re: Will a Tp9sa holster fit the Tp9sf pistol?

I can tell you with 100% certainty... Maybe. It's been said on the old forum that the Alien Gear hybrid shells will fit. Any Safariland that fits one should fit them all. Leather holsters should be compatible. Kydex may depend on how tightly it's formed and how willing your are to spend a minute wit...

Re: Favorite 22LR and why.

My fave is a Beretta M71.... Because that's what I've got right now. It's from before the import point system, so no fake suppressor barrel extension. It's been stored in a soft case with an Astra Cub 25auto for years, so there's a few dings on it. And only one magazine... https://www.armsunlimited...

Not cool. That's almost doable today.

When i worked armored cars we did the FBI qual which is a bit different. Ill see if i can find it and post it up.
The new FBI qual requires drawing and movement; both are forbidden at all the ranges I have access to. I think the older one can be faked at a square range.

Re: "Worst gun I ever bought was..."

I had a ParaOrdnance double stack .45. I loved the feel of the gun, I have bit hands and it filled out great. Unreliable as hell. I was lucky to get a full magazine through it. Didn't matter what ammo. This was back in the mid 90's. Maybe they got better but Ill never have one again. I had a P13.45...

Re: Practice Ammo

Right now, I've got a nice mix of S&B, Fiocchi and Blazer Brass that should last me a couple of range trips.

In the past, I've used FM new and reman, Wolf, Tula, Aguila, Remington green & white box.

Ultimate Carry Belt from Bladetech by Nexbelt. Or just go with Nexbelt. Kore Systems gun belts are the same thing.

FBI Bullseye course of fire

I've been drilling a buddy on the Florida armed security qualifier, as best as can be managed in the square range. Looking for something a bit more difficult, I found the FBI Instructors Bullseye course of fire. Tonight, while the boy was at his Boy Scouts PLC meeting, I dragged my vintage 1974 Bere...
