Re: Click, click, no bang

I figure I'll give it about a week for a reply from Century. The website has a disclaimer that they are slammed and will respond, just not as fast as usual.

I've gone back to my XDs for daily duty and I've got a Concealment Express holster for my SD9VE getting delivered today.

Re: Click, click, no bang

It's a '17 model, so it's probably MIM. Almost always use the Barrel Blok inserts unless I'm doing failure drills, then it's snap caps. I guess all it takes is once....

Click, click, no bang

Last range trip was January. With COVID closures, I've only been able to dry fire practice, 25-50 trigger pulls/session, 1-2 sessions/week. With all the peace and tranquility in the world, if I'm not going to, at, or coming from work, I've been carrying the Elite (15+1 and 18) for anything my Ford t...

Re: New Taurus model - G3C

I've watched a couple of the videos that are out. No one specifically mentions fixing the catch in the trigger, but they do rave about it a bit. Gun shows are open for the moment in Florida an.d my LGS is in Tampa this weekend and will be moving back into the store on Monday... If he has one, I won'...

Re: Shooting gloves

I've had Mechanix gloves, and will probably get another pair sometime. Right now, I've got a few pairs of the Harbor Freight Mechanix knockoffs floating around. Works well enough, and they're all black, so work doesn't object to them. They're a bit thinner, and after a couple of drills, I can tell t...

Re: Is Classic Firearms screwing you too?

I dealt with CF in the Newtown aftermath, and they shipped my parts with no problem. I've bought a few other things without issue. The only gripe I've got for CF is that they haven't picked my name for any of their contests. Expect me to shill shamelessly if they ever have another M1 carbine to give...

Re: Military vs Civilian Shooter. Which one is better?

Training doctrines in the civilian world can update and change faster than military counterparts. Rob Pincus has updated his program several times in the last 10 years, based on evidence and research. Regular Guy Training offers rifle classes to Boots, ostensibly to teach them things he learned the ...

Re: AR Gas Tube Misaligned

I've traded DMs with my LGS, but haven't been able to get to him. He did say I could futz with it and if it still didn't work, he'd still fix it. The set screw in the picture was only trapped in by the handguard, so that fell out at the first tap. I verified the gas block alignment, applied blue Loc...

I thought it was going to be a "What's on your quarantine playlist?" kind of thing. I've been listening to enough I❤️radio that my favorites channel is getting kinda schizophrenic.

Re: Who is actually stuck at home?

I'm "essential", so I'm going to and from. My wife is a teacher and we have 3 school age kids and a pre-k at home. With the schools staying closed for the rest of the year, she's pretty much got the joy of managing her students and their transition to online classes and supervising our kids with the...

Re: A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM... BOOK 2

Absolutely nothing. I gazed at the open door for a moment before someone cleared their throat. Painfully, I leaned over a bit more and saw him standing there; a short, fireplug of a man in a 10-gallon hat, a ridiculous red handlebar mustache, and a long goatee. The spitting real-life image of Yosemi...

I second the new thread idea.

My darling wife likes the idea, too, but she is sad that this story may be ending. Whatever will happen to BBBB&BB?

Okay, guys. Here's a sharable link after I moved the story into my Google Docs. Y'all might want to put your coffee down unless you want it on your screen in a few places.

Some of you might have been self isolating for a little too long.. There are some serious psychological issues I'm seeing on the Novel.... I hope everyone is still having fun writing and reading it... I may offer a free set of grips to someone who wants to go through each post, copy and paste onto ...
