Way to go Wilson Combat, sign me up (NOT). =))
If it says Wilson, it costs bunches.
Add another bunch for the "Vickers" name association.

Re: Just visited Canik home site, no more Shark?

It's been a few years since any of the Shark's were even imported under the Canik name. I think the C and P series under Tristar are still coming in but the T's and S's I think are discontinued but new ones are still available for now. If you're wanting a T120 now would be the time to grab one whil...

Re: SAR-USA SAR 9 Review

The mystery copper colored substance on the rails looks like Glock's factory break in lube. Maybe SAR uses a similar substance or someone at the LGS thought it operated a bit gritty and put some on the rails to help break in.

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

To clarify, Tristar didn't say they would or wouldn't continue to provide parts and service on the T. They just didn't respond to that part of the question. Since they plan to continue to import I assume they are implying that parts and service will always be provided. CGW offers a separate line of ...

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

The Canik product line is evolving. I just checked their homepage to see if the Z model had been added (it hasn't) and found that they have dropped the T models. That's a shame because I really like the T-120. They still have the L-120 as a alloy frame. I assume Tristar will begin importing the L m...

Re: Field & Stream (Dick's) may close....

Believe it or not...... not too many years ago- here in Mobile the BIG gun stores were Sears, T.G.& Y. and JC Penney's. Now we have Academy....we have 2 of them. On occasion you can get a real deal there. There is a Bass Pro over across the Bay. Most of my guns, ammo purchases are done online. Ther...

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

Yeah.....I "assumed" it was Canik made..... and more than likely that is not the case. Canik's home Turkish website doesn't list this model and it would be highly unlikely that Canik would produce another striker fired model so similar to the TP line. I'm guessing that Tristar decided to expand the...

Is that an ambi-safety that I see?
They haven't posted a description and the specs don't address ambi safety, but yeah that's what it looks like.

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

So....a striker fired gun? A 4.5" barrel and right at 27 oz empty (34 oz loaded)? I would think they would strive to make it lighter and smaller? But I'm thinking "carry gun" and they may be thinking " duty or competition model"? After all...they are the ones that actually see what is selling- Yep,...

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

Photos now available. Polymer frame, 17 round, 1.7 lbs. Looks like a Ruger American with a big, humpback grip. Still not in stock but the price has already gone up to $429. Oddly, Tristar website still doesn't list this gun and I still don't know who manufactures it. https://www.centerfireguns.com/t...

Re: GOOOD BLACK FRIDAY MORNING.......

Only thing I'm looking for is ammo, but the only decent deals right now are on rebate... I HATE REBATES.... I usually find good deals throughout the year anyway... Also I did pick up a new PSA Lower a few days back on sale for $99.00 I hate rebates too. What is the point? Why hire another firm to p...

Re: Firearms want list...

Like others have said, I have too many guns that I haven't shot in a year. I need to sell some of those before I seriously consider adding more. A month ago I thought I had everything I wanted but then I bought a SW22 Victory and realized what fun I had been missing. If I added any guns it would be ...

Re: Tristar Caniks

I've got a T-120, C-100 and a CZ 75B. All are stock except I replaced the grips with Cool Hand slim grips to better fit my hand. I think the CZ is slightly slimmer and the grip feels better in my hand. I shoot the T-120 and the CZ with about the same accuracy. These are my favorite guns and pretty m...

Re: Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

It seems odd that development has progressed far enough to have retail contracts and pricing set without any announcement of a new model on the manufacturer's or importer's websites. Maybe they are waiting for Shot Show for the big reveal and press announcements. If so, Centerfire may have let the c...

Anyone know what a Tristar Z919 is?

I was looking at Tristars on the Centerfire Guns website and noticed that they have new models(?) listed without photos. They have Z919 compact (4" barrel)- $383 and performance (4.5" barrel) -$407. I have Googled, searched Gunwatcher and even looked at Tristar Sporting Arms and Canik's Turkish webs...

Re: SW22 Victory

Hi McCNik, I haven’t had any problem with the barrel takedown screw coming lose. I use Vibra-TITE VC-3 Threadmate on the takedown screw. It works similar to thread lock but designed for 5 or so take downs before you have to reapply. You have to let it dry for several minutes before using. Frank Tha...

Re: SW22 Victory

Just an update on the Victory after 1500 rounds and three cleanings. While I still love the gun I now appreciate the ease of takedown and cleaning of centerfire guns compared to rimfire (and the Victory is supposed to be an improvement over most rimfires). I discovered on the initial cleaning that S...

Re: SW22 Victory

Hi McCanik, I have a Victory and it is a great gun. Very accurate and good balance for the weight. The trigger is nice but I wish it broke a little crisper. I like the trigger well enough that I haven't bought an after market trigger that is available and inexpensive. If you haven't discovered Tand...
