Re: 1911 Build: FINISHED!!!!

Twice the cost is no joke. I was looking at the cost of kits. Oh then the jigs. I do have a family member that has several big boy mills that might be helpful with not needing to get the jigs.

ehh I think my first 1911 will be an already built one.

Re: 1911 Build: FINISHED!!!!

You guys are totally making me jealous. My nephew has been bugging me to build my own 1911 instead of buying an already built one. All your pics has me almost ready to click the buy now button. Those are awesome!

Re: Been busy building. Stngr handguard

I have been tossing this idea around in my head about adding this to my new one. It will allow the stock to fold. I would like to hear thoughts on this.

I just acquired a Ghost Firearms stripped lower. Ghost is going through a rebranding, so some of their parts may end up in closeout. Looking at the 11" handguard.
I checked out their site. IF I build another I have wanted to build an all grey rifle (just because I like the looks)

Fiocchi 115gr fmj, Speer Lawman 124 gr fmj. No steel.

I was at the range today and heard that they will be coming out with a new gen soon to fix this problem.

Re: Taurus G2S?

To be honest I think there is a couple of issues. 1. really steep feed ramp, last round is getting jammed into the ramp causing it to kind of buckle back and dig in 2. the tab on the slide (I am sure there is a technical name for it but the hell if i know what it is) that pushes the round into the c...

Re: Need some info on this Canik Model

I got to shoot it for the first time today. I found I have to change the front sight. It come with 3 different height front sights. The shortest sight was mounted and I found that is was shooting about 3.5 inches low. Just to make sure it wasn't me I had my RSO buddy shoot it and he had the same pro...

Re: Need some info on this Canik Model

The mags are 17 rd mags, but it can take my SFX mags no problem. The only difference is the base plates on the mags. Going with the stock mags completes the finger wells (not to mention looks nicer). I am planning on talking to my brother-in-law who owns a mill and see if we can make some custom bas...
