Re: Disappointed

I emailed Century again and included my test results. They sent me a return number without hesitation or questioning me. I asked for the pistol to shoot to point of aim at 25 yards, to include a picture of target and to specify what ammo was used to achieve the results. It's a beautiful pistol and i...

Re: Disappointed

Recap is I bought the tungsten Elite 1st. Man this is a great pistol I thought. Ordered a green one for my collection. Shoots low and right. I filed a claim with Century. The 1st guy pretty much blew me off, I pursued the matter telling them I wanted them to test fire the pistol. They claimed they ...

Re: Black Hills honeybadger

https://i.ibb.co/4fr4p75/IMG-2236.jpg I just got a box of .380, haven't tried them yet. I read they are supposed to offer superior penetration and still work after going through barriers. I don't believe most self defense .380 rounds have enough penetration. I don't feel the need to buy these in bi...

Re: Canik Warranty issues?

I have a 26 year old Glock 19. There is no bare metal anywhere. My 1st Elite has shiny steel showing top, bottom of barrel and on starting on sides of chamber. I think whatever they finish the barrel with isn't to tough or something.

I haven't had a issue with +2 mag extensions either, but in your case certainly seems like you need stronger springs

Re: Walther PPQ "Try it Before You Buy It" Progra

That's pretty amazing. The PPQ isn't at the top of my want list. This certainly moves it up towards the top though.

Bought a case of Tul 115gr $128.40 on sale last week. No tax and free shipping from Target. The prime membership is worth it.

Re: What handgun do you EDC the most?

Battle worn red Springfield 2.0 Mod 4. She's a bit chunky, but fine for winter. 16+1. I've carried it for several months now. I don't rotate guns. I keep that same familiarity for the season. When it's t shirts only I've always used a G19. The one gun that is always with me is my LCP. Often I leave ...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

Both of mine are have been flawless feeding and ejecting right out of box. Put something hot in it and see it it cycles. If it does the recoil spring is too heavy. I'm going to do that tomorrow. If the recoil spring is too heavy, what then? Is it something I get from Canik, or somewhere else? If it...

Re: Gun Lube Suggestions/Motor oil as a gun lubricant

Here's my plan for what it's worth. My carry guns only get a light coating of Ballistol. Now I'm going to IDPA match my guns get 0/20 full synthetic oil. I used lubricants such as Ballistol and the gun will look rather dry after a couple hundred rounds. Even though function is fine. Motor oil still ...

Re: Disappointed

Interesting thread, as I myself have had recent disappointment with an elite I bought. I am just WILD about the burnt bronze/O.D. green color combo now being offered and went bat sht crazy and bought one of each - SFX, SF, and the SF Elite. My first impressions of the Elite were poor, not only for ...

Just saw this. I have Traction Grips on everything I own. If you need someone else, I'd love to try it. US flag would be my pick. Weather isn't good right now for good testing though.

Re: Remington UMC 115 FMJ

Look into the Prime Ammo membership there. You can get better ammo for a cheaper cost. Fiocchi 115grFMJ for $165 I've never ordered from them before. Wasn't even aware of the Prime ammo membership. But what does that cost per year? So if your saving $7 a case how does it equal out? For practice I'l...

I appreciate your comments FreedomFries. I haven't done anything with this Elite yet. I believe Frank W also suggested shooting it from a rest as well. I'll do it and post the results.

Re: AR for $279.....?

Wife had everything under tree so I just opened it all up and assembled yesterday. Just messing around the house I'm very impressed with how bright and tiny the red dot is. Makes me feel like I'm using a surgical tool. If I still hunted I think it would be great for eastern woods. I have one AR with...

Recoil springs

One day browsing the internet I came across Galloway Precision. I decided to try their 20pd recoil spring guide rod assembly in my SA Mod2 4.0 9mm. You notice immediately the slide is harder to rack. Using cheap ball ammo I found less recoil and quicker follow up shots. The brass still kicks out a g...
