Re: Stainless Steel Guide Rods

The weights you see are the guide rod springs. Some firearms, like Glock, use poly guide rods. Nothing wrong with them as they are well proven however some people prefer to upgrade. I being one of them. I've read online from people that say they change out their RSA's about every 5,000 rounds. Does...

Stainless Steel Guide Rods

What are the real benefits of purchasing an aftermarket stainless steel guide rod? I've seen people post about it in the FB groups, and I noticed that Galloway Precision has a SS guide rod for the Elite as well as the DA/V2. They have three weights listed, 20, 22 and 24lbs. My assumption is, differe...

Re: Buy it cheap, stack it deep

With all the rhetoric coming from the Left regarding "gun control", I'm definitely going to start taking advantage of some of the ammo deals I'm seeing. Especially how cheap 22lr is right now, along with 9mm and 223/5.56. Given all the bluster coming from the Left, I do really think in a couple few ...

I want one, just can't afford it right now, nor can I afford a tax stamp and suppressor.

AR 47

Anyone have an AR47 and care to share their experience with it? I've looked at them once in awhile on PSA's website but not sure if I want to go that route or not. I'd prefer an AR style over the AK, but I wonder if there's issues. I've read good and bad reviews online, but I'm wondering if any memb...

Let us know what you find out.
Will do. I was thinking of getting it if I get an EC or SFx. I figure if it doesn't work with one of the plates I could use the riser and attach it to an AR. I wish Century/Canik USA would offer additional adapter plate options as an aftermarket.

Sightmark Mini Shot M-Spec Lqd Reflex Sight

Does anyone have experience with this sight on a Canik? It says it uses the Docter mounting system. I've had pretty good luck with Sightmark products and this one says it's 100% waterproof. I haven't seen anyone mention though that they use a Sightmark on their Canik so I'm not sure if it can be mou...

Re: Leather Grips

Very cool. I like to see innovation and new options. I will have to try a set down the road. I would imagine they wouldn't be as grippy as Talon or Traction Grips, but for a range/home defense gun they probably work well. And I really like the ability to add a design to them.

Re: Beretta APX Combat

Damn, another gun I can't afford, but looks good. I really didn't care for the APX when it first was released, but it's really starting to grow on me. If I had to choose between this and the Elite Combat, I'd probably pick the APX solely because of the rear iron sight. Only thing is though, when loo...

Re: AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

I live in a duplex with neighbors close by. I do have a handgun at the ready in the nightstand, but I'm wanting a little more firepower in the event of a home invasion. If I could afford to live in the country, I'd definitely prefer that. Thanks for the tip on the electronic ear muffs. I've been wan...

AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

I've had my AR set up for awhile for home defense, but have recently went back to my shotgun. I've read compelling arguments on both sides of the discussion as to what is the best option. Ideally, I'd like to eventually get an SBR or pistol AR for home defense, but for now am limited to my standard ...

Truck Gun

I see the discussion or mention come up on FB and other forums about "truck guns". I guess I don't own a gun dedicated to my truck. I just carry a Canik and take it with me when I travel. Does anyone on here actually have a "truck gun"? Does it actually just stay in your vehicle? I suppose in certai...

Re: Is 40cal done for?

My older sons still has a couple, and 45's also. I see lots and lots of used Glocks in 40 cal at most of the LGSs. Police trades of course. I never liked 40, probably never will. My most favorite caliber is 380... I've been seeing good deals on Glock trade-ins too. That's what has me contemplating ...
