Re: newb looking for range ammo advice

Hang on procrawler- there are several comp shooters on the forum....you'll get a good answer shortly.

I am in love with the S&B in 115 and 124, but they may tend to a tad hot for what you want.

Re: New member from Maryland

Welcome to the club DigDug........ya know where Baltimore is??? I went to Calhoon Marine Engineering School there 67-69. I believe the school moved to New York years ago. But anyway- we had 2 students there that asked permission to keep a handgun in their rooms. Permission granted by the school and ...

Re: Which TP9 Would Be the Best All-Around Choice.

I agree that for most- the choice would be the Elite. I have one and I really like it. It is my #2 choice. However.........if you are not used to single action striker fired guns with very light triggers...the Elite can be the wrong gun if in the wrong hands! My favorite is the DA. It still has a li...

Since you are looking at Taurus?.......and if you would consider a blemish or refurb?- look at Kygunco. I saw a video yesterday (can't seem to find it now) where they were unboxing 4 pallets of blems/refurbs- all come with lifetime warranty, and 100% money back including shipping if you turn it down...

Re: New canik shooter in the Bluegrass

Welcome to the club......... Since you are in Blue Grass land......you ever hear of Flat Lonesome? They wrote a song about an uncle of mine- "Dangerous Dan the Airplane Man". A one-armed bootlegger who flew planes and lived a reckless life.....one day he met Jesus- he gave away all his ill-gotten ga...

Re: Another Newbie!

Welcome to the club.......the Elite is one fine shooter- no doubt, love mine. Which model next? What about a DA/SA model?- the DA is about the same size as the Elite except for an 18 round mag, and a DA/SA trigger. I have that one also- its my favorite striker fired gun- period. Also Canik makes a h...

Re: Got to spend time with the important things in life!

Hadn't shot in a while- recovering form R/C surgery- not used to the trigger-.......now shooting a little low and left? And the answer is?.......... --->->.......... more trigger therapy. If it was just one gun that shot low and left, one might suspect an issue with that gun, but you said- "Now that...

Re: TP9-V2 Sight Question

I can guess?.....and its only a guess.

I would 'suspect' that the sights are set for 25 (or possibly 50?) meters with 124 gr ammo. And the 1/2-3/4" difference you are getting has to do with distance and or bullet weight.
Like I said- just a guess.

If you haven't already...let someone else shoot it and see if they get the same results. If so?.......then it may be time to send an email to Century?

Re: shooting high

Yeah, what I was thinking.
I am not familiar with the SFX, but first thought is did you compare that to bench rest?
If it gets much better with shooting from a bench rest....then more than likely you need to change the way you grip the gun.

No, not Aluminum, but some kind of epoxy/plastic?

Yeah, my old hands have gotten tender over the years, and the rough grips give me fits.

Changed the grips again on my C-100

I didn't like the stock grips on my C-100 so I had previously ordered a set of those white/brown bone looking grips from Cool Hand. They were/are pretty grips- but they were so rough my old hands didn't like them. I even files them down a bit for an improvement, but still not good enough- So.....I s...

Good shooting there. Bet you had a good time.

But......my DA is better than your DA. I just can't shoot mine as good as you can shoot yours.
