Re: New Canik Owner-TP9SFX Break in

I got a few stove pipes on my new Canik but the more I shoot it the less it happens. Mines the TP9 Series One. I used some cheap 115 range ammo. Probably fine after a few more boxes.

Re: Ammo availability

9mm ammo was 14 cents a round last year on Ammoseek. 48 cents now & that's steel case 1,000 rounds. And, now that everyone has a 5 year supply of toilet paper nobody's buying it. Shelves are full everywhere. Maybe the same thing will happen with ammo. Nobody with 5,000 rounds is going to pay $50 for...

Re: "Worst gun I ever bought was..."

I haven't bought really bad guns but 2 disappointed me. First handgun was a dirt cheap H&R 686 which was a 22/22 Mag convertible revolver. Trigger felt like a walnut cracker. Even single-action must have been 10 pounds & trig was so creepy it seemed to hit 3-4 walls. Keeping 6 shots in a silhouette ...

Re: Church safety...

I go to a small church & there's always 2 guys that stay at the front door during the service & I'm guessing they're armed. My wife's Catholic & her church is huge. 4 guys now stay in the lobby & I'd bet at least one is armed. Lobby used to be empty during the service but that White Settlement shoot...

Re: Observations when buying at Academy

My brother-in-law bought his first gun at Academy a few weeks ago. The last gun he shot was a 1911 in the Army, 1983. Academy had 5 guns total. .22 & 380 pocket pistols & one 9mm S&W M&P Shield EZ which he got. He said he wanted a house gun to defend his family with all the rioters threatening to co...

Re: "Why I Stopped Carrying a Glock", now carrys a Canik

I never cared for the way Glocks feel. The angle of the board, I mean grip doesn't feel right. They can't change it or it wouldn't be a Glock.

Re: First range time with the new SF

Thinking about a Freedomsmith trigger also. My new Canik will be just a range gun, won't compete or carry it so I'm leaning toward the Fatdaddy. I got a wide trigger for my .22 & liked the feel. August 24 I can go to the range again, looking forward to it. Seems weird to buy a new pistol & not shoot...

Welcome, I'm also new here. I spent a year in Belgium. Florennes Air Force Base in 1988. Lots of good memories from being there.

Got My First Canik

Hello, newbie here. I've been following Caniks awhile. I needed a 9mm range gun. I've got carry guns, house guns, plinkers & a .22 rifle but I don't have a 9mm range gun. Looked for weeks & Caniks are sold out everywhere. At least the TP9SF One Series. Yesterday I found one 43 miles away, paid for i...
