Re: TP9SF or SFX? Non-competitive shooting

Personal opinion from someone who owns both models.

Go with the SFX,

1. Better resale value
2. Already broken in for you
3. Better accuracy
4. Optics ready
5. Cool Factor

Re: Hitting High

Almost every gun I own sights and shoots different. Unless they are off you just learn how to adjust for that particular gun. I have one that shoots so far right that if I ever OC carry I would use it. That way if it got taken from me I know they would miss. b-) .

Re: Sight Pusher for Caniks

Resurrecting an old thread. I have the NcStar, but couldn't do the front sights with it. So a couple months ago I purchased this one from Wheeler. I've switched out several sets now on a few of my Caniks and it works great. Unfortunately, it's listed for $40 more than when I purchased it. But it ha...

Re: Tejas Products Grips

Good review! Having the logo cutout definitely helps to make it easier to install. My Elite grip doesn't have the holes. I always use it on the Talon for alignment. The grips are comfortable and good for a range gun, but I can't see myself using it on a comp gun. Not textured/grippy enough and a li...

Re: Free Grips to the first 5 replies

Thanks Tejas...received the grip yesterday, planning to get it installed tomorrow and will post some pic.s I'll report on how it feels after taking it to the range. :-? Is it recommended to use any heat to apply the grip? I've used a number of Talon grips and I apply heat to the grip after getting ...

Re: Free Grips to the first 5 replies

So, I got mine yesterday. Cleaned the grip as directed and applied. I really like the feel, although there is a stark difference between the front/sides and the back strap. Almost wish there was a piece for the back strap. I haven't shot it yet, but should be able to do so Sunday or Monday (days of...

Re: Springfield XDE now in 3.8" and 4.5"

I too held the 3.3, and liked the way it felt in my shooting hand, though I'm a lefty. If they made an ambi slide-lock, the 3.3, or even the 3.8 would be a serious consideration. The Canik Da is now the only one of my 3 9mm's that isn't ambi, and I vowed to not ever purchase another unless it was. ...

Re: Ruger PC Carbine

I'll be field testing over the next few weeks. Same heavy duty 3m adhesive that is on the Canik grips, and of course all of the same colors... The stippling on the stock is pretty aggressive and I want to be sure the adhesive holds under normal usage....

I've had black guns, brown guns, tan guns... All get pretty darned hot on the outdoor range during the summer... Couple of degrees difference dosen't matter, they all get hot as H E double toothpicks.

Re: Ordered TP9SFX FDE

Second range visit with 300 rounds of 115g I only had 4 - 5 stovepipes.... I may try and get out to the range again tomorrow with the 124 and do some more "breaking in". Contact Century Arms and let them know you're having an issue with stove pipes. They will probably send you a reduced power RSA a...

Re: Ordered TP9SFX FDE

Looking forward to your thoughts on the SFx once you get some rounds down range. One thing about Canik, they have stiff RSA's. I contacted Century and received a reduced power RSA since I plan to run weaker ammo for competition. But when I get a new Canik, I always run a couple boxes of 124gr NATO ...
