Re: Taurus PT92 Magazine Compatibility with SFX

pt92 same as m9 mags? if so yes and no they fit but different notches for mag release, you can makem work with a dremel. Not worth it with new mags but I picked up several m9 mags for like $7 a piece and did it.

Re: The case for caliber diversification (Ammo shortages)

9 is my main caliber and have enough to ride out shortages. How ever for handguns I also have .380, 9mak, .32, .357/38, .45, 10mm, hitting the gun store after the panic i only saw some .32, .357, .45 and 10mm on the shelf.

Re: Where do you shoot?

I have an outdoor range 5 miles away im a member at, 15 minutes to my usual indoor range. I can also shoot on a friends property when ever I like since i helped set it up and some of the steel targets are mine but it is an hour drive each way.

Re: Reliable 22lr Pistol?

I'm pretty sure either Classic Firearms or Centerfire had a few for sale a couple weeks ago, maybe they have some mags. Center-fire? I'll take a look. Classic Firearms just has (had) the imports with the fake silencers, but no extra mags every time I've checked. The Triple-K mags get some good revi...

Re: Reliable 22lr Pistol?

I've got a Beretta M71 c.1974 that fires everything I've chambered. Alas, I have 1 original mag that's been through the ringer and 1 aftermarket mag that was designed by a stalk of asparagus. Fully loaded, neither mag will load the first round reliably. The feed lips on the factory mag were so bent...

Re: New rifle, err pistol, err 9mm space blaster fun

Saw that on Guns & Ammo this week, and thought it was pretty cool. I like the spare mag storage, ambi set-up, folding "stock"; they thought the design out pretty well for what it is. I was wondering how it would hold up as a Home Defense set up, just for more stability with shooting. Size seems rig...

Re: New rifle, err pistol, err 9mm space blaster fun

Yeah, it's a fun little thing but honestly I'm already wavering on it. If I was living in a place where AR pistols were regulated I'd be more on board but there are a couple things about this one that might just have me putting it up for sale. First, there's a little bit of play in how the gun is h...

Re: New rifle, err pistol, err 9mm space blaster fun

Very nice, if I didn't already have 2 9mm carbines I'd consider maybe getting a Roni or similar setup, I've shot the micro and full size ones both are fun.

Re: What's on your "must have" buy list for 2020?

I really want a big bore pistol. A 454 Casull or 500 Smith. I also want an Elite SC to add into my carry rotation. My buddy has a .500 its cool but after a couple rounds not much desire to keep shooting. Maybe if I lived in Alaska I'd buy one. I have a friend that has the snub nosed 500 and it is n...

Re: Ghost Glock

Good spring and connector combo will clean the trigger up pretty nice for less then $40. Granted it still wont be as good as Canik, Walther, CZ striker triggers but it'll be better then alot of others.

Re: New member from Norway

Our gun laws are changing right now, and I don’t know where that will lead yet. But it seems that the most important thing is to forbid the Ruger mini 14 (used in the terror-attacks in 2011), there was discussion of banning semi-auto rifles for hunting. But again, I am not sure how this will take e...

It just sounds so wrong, 800.00 and 9mm just don't go together. ..
Some defensive loads will run over $1 a round. You're right though does seem high but most people dont buy defense stuff by the case.

I believe that ammo normally sells for near $40 per box.

$40 x 20 = $800

Edit: Yes it is normally a slow mover anyway, and that may be all they have left?
Correct 147gr hst's were always 35-40 a box at best.

Re: Question about the Elite Combat

I didn't buy one because it is too far up for my hands. Uncomfortably so. Most 1911 magwells ride below the grip (where God intended). Yeah I'm not a fan of flared magwells on compacts and subcompacts cause they sometimes can interfere with my grip. Generally most of the little add on magwells dont...

Re: Has the hoarding slowed down?

Yeah cheap ammo peaked about 3 weeks ago won't stay as high as it is right now but with the election a few months away its not going to drop back near where it was any time soon. I'd been kinda stocking up in anticipation of a few months of high prices when elections got closer. Been ordering a case...

Re: Top 5 guns not to panic buy

40 is going to be more prevalent now that the current trend is LE reverting back to 9mm. I like the 40. It was my first duty weapon and I didn't think it was all that snappy but to each their own. Admittedly, 9mm is cheaper and thereby allows for more practical training sessions which is a good thi...
