Re: slide won't lock back on last round

It happens especially if use to shooting a certain type of gun and moving to something with different style release. Hard to ride the release even an extended one on a glock but if your use to shooting glocks all the time its easy to ride the release on something like the Elite.

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

I'm familiar with yildiz and I believe a couple of the others you mentioned are also imported under the Tristar brand who also does the metal Canik's. I've always liked AK type rifles but have never seen any Turkish made ones imported before. I own or have owned Chinese(norinco56 underfolder, cheeta...

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

Sorry for asking cause you are using Imperial and we are using Metric and some ammo names not clear for me. The target loads mean you are shooting Clay? 1.25 once it makes 35 gr , which is very heavy. Saiga was try to Turkish market, but it didnt go well. Price was realy high , dealer just bring to...

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

Typically 7.5 shot 1-1.25 ounce target loads, if I'm shooting it a lot. I have run 00 buck and slugs through it as well, after getting her broke in she'll run most stuff. Has an adjustable gas block in case you need to tinker a bit with the loads. Supply of SAIGA's got cut off after the Russian inte...

Re: Grips - Form or Function

I like both. But flashy grips can sometimes attract me to a gun like the blue or orange grips on the shadow 2 and tactical sport.

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

Interesting ballistics. The muzzle energy and velocity of a 10mm, but with a little more than half of the bullet weight. It apparently sheds energy quickly, so it is combat effective to maybe 25-50 yards max. Household or property self defense would be a reasonable use, but then so would a good pis...

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

Very cool the Kral and Armsan look like clones but not available in the U.S. yet, we do get several models of ar15 looking shotguns from Turkey, I've not messed around with any of them they're interesting but most of the time mags seem to be difficult to locate where as SAIGA mags are easy to find a...

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

Interesting, thanks for the background history on them, I guess their long time 1911 manufacturing is why the tisa 1911's seem to work better then their hi power copy. I do have a real hi power and alot of extra parts everything except frame and slide really so I think I shouldn't have a problem get...

Re: Greetings from homelands of Canik

To be honest I am not fan of Tisas, even police forces in Turkey doesnt like quality of Pistols. No worries there I'm well aware of their flaws, its why i might be getting this one its their hi power clone in stainless steel, it sells for about $530 here, this guy has one thats suffering from probl...

Re: .45 Love.

Until about a year ago my 20 year old Colt Custom Gov. model was my favorite 45 auto pistol then I found a CZ 97 BD. WOW it has to be the softest shooting most accurate full size pistol on the planet. Just about any 200 gr bullet over 5.2 gr of 231 will shoot to 3/4" at 10 yards and the recoil feel...
