I'm doubting it'll even be October. But, you never know. It's showing up on distributors websites, but out of stock. Hard to say.

Re: Steel or Paper Targets

I have shot that size target before and think that it ideal for practicing getting on a real life target quickly with multiple rounds. Getting faster and changing distances would keep me busy for quite a while. Definitely. I'm going to start with the 12x20, but might add the other one linked above ...

Paper target good for Zero

Steel target good for Ego
LOL, that's probably why I like steel. Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling every time I hear it ring. :-D

Steel or Paper Targets

Who prefers to shoot steel vs paper targets? When I'm zeroing a gun, I definitely prefer paper targets. But, I also enjoy shooting steel and am thinking of buying some. Looking for something portable that I can take to the range with me. The kits are expensive though, so I'm looking for economical s...

Re: Scary, but true (Red Flag Laws)

Over the 4th of July weekend, we went to Brad's house and he has a ton of guns. And look how the media hypes up an "arsenal" or "stockpile". They'll show 5 guns and a thousand rounds on the news when someone is arrested and make it sound like they are preparing for Armageddon. Heck, I buy ammo by t...

Re: Scary, but true (Red Flag Laws)

The story is a bit exaggerated of course, but it's pretty obvious that Liberals are going to use whatever means necessary to disarm us, even illegal means. The fact that SF has labeled the NRA a terrorist organization is just another step forward. Think about it, now if you're a member of the NRA in...

Scary, but true (Red Flag Laws)

This is not mine, taken from a post on FB. This IS the way it will happen. It already has in a few states... It’s a Sunday night and your family has all gone to bed. You let the dogs back in and lock the deadbolt like you do every night. All the lights are off now except a couple of night lights sca...

If shopping now, I'd look at the 503 models that have the solar panel much like the 507C reflex sight.
Was just looking at them on Amazon, thanks for the info.

Also does the holosun have a visible reticle if its not getting power?
Good point. I'll have to look more closely at that. I do have a PA on one of my AR's and it's held up well, rarely do I see a complaint about their optics.

Re: What's your AR Red Dot choice?

Another one I'm looking at is the Trijicon MRO. I used one last year at the NRA World Shoot and it was nice and rugged. But with a $400 price tag, I just don't think I can swing it. I'm leaning towards the Holosun or Primary Arms. I should mention, this will be for a home defense gun, so I want to m...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Any updates on when this model will be available in the U.S? Not yet. Someone posted in our FB group that it's showing up on the distributors website, but still out of stock. We may finally be getting closer, but no definitive yet. Also, they posted that it's expected to be aggressively priced at $...

What's your AR Red Dot choice?

What's you're favorite red dot for AR's? I'm in the market for a new red dot, but I don't know if I want to stick with the more traditional red dot sights, or put a smaller red dot on that also works on pistols. Currently I'm running the Sightmark mini shot m-spec on my Elite Combat, and it's been g...

Re: Colt suspending production of AR-15 for civilians

A semi-popular 2A person on FB is theorizing that it's because they've been sitting on a surplus of AR's for years and can't sell them, even through companies like CDNN. And also theorizes they will produce them again once the warehouses are empty. That's all well and good, but I still think their A...

Never spent money on an overpriced Colt AR, never will. I hope they go bankrupt again and completely disappear.

Re: Night Sights for Canik (Night Fision and Others)

Night Fision doesn't list the TP9V2 anywhere. Makes me nervous dropping the cash on my first set. Are the Dovetails on the TP9V2 the same as the newer models? SFX, Elite whatever? Not same as SFx. Same as SA, SF, Elite, DA, etc. Also, the first V2's did not have a dovetail front sight. They had the...

Re: Vehicle Gun Safe - Temperature Concerns?

I have a safe mounted under my seat in my Jeep for those rare occasions I have to leave it behind. I wouldn't really worry about the heat. I'm definitely no expert, but we had our firearms in desert heat for months on end in hotter temperatures than I'm sure you're experiencing. Though our weapons w...
