Re: Range Trip, TP9DA's and Sub Compact 11-17-19

I know you did ask but here are my observation on the 9 mm round. Perhaps your slide was back a small amount? (for that non primer strike). If so the issue could be a small scratch on the case or even a spec of something. With the 9 mm Luger tapered case slope which is about .011 in the .754 case l...

Re: Need some Glock help

What I would personally do if I were buying another 19 w/ rmr cut is one the 80% kits I much prefer the grip angle w/o the hump and lately I've seen the kits with everything to complete the pistol including milled slides(threaded barrel options) for in the $400's. Gen 5 MOS 19 I don't think you'll ...

Need some Glock help

I'm not much of a Glock person. I don't hate the brand, it just never worked well for me with the grip angle. For a short time I owned a G19 Gen4 and a G21. Anyway, got rid of them after I purchased my Caniks, because I just shoot them better. But, I'm starting to regret getting rid of the G19. Afte...

Range Trip, TP9DA's and Sub Compact 11-17-19

Another good morning at the range. A bit chilly today, as the temps are hovering just below freezing. I wanted to get some more trigger time behind my new Sub Compact, and figured I'd take a couple DA's along for the ride. I never make a range trip without a TP9DA or V2. I can't really explain why, ...

Re: Which One Is Next?

I have owned them all, and like them all. Really depends on personal preference I guess. Do you want SA only? Do you like DA/SA handguns? My EDC for years has been the Walther P99c, which the original TP9 was modeled after. I like DA/SA handguns, so I chose it as my carry, and was drawn to the TP9 f...

What's on your Christmas wish list?

Anybody asking for anything good this year for Christmas? The older I get, the less I want. Sure, if money were no object, then I'm sure my wish list would be bigger. Other than a 10.5" upper for my AR pistol I've had sitting collecting dust for almost a year, pretty much Milwaukee tools for my job ...

Re: Really like my Elite Sub Compact so far

@Janik Do any of your custom holsters for your other TP9's fit this Sub Compact? I'm going to move my StreamLight TLR8 to the Sub Compact and am hoping to use the same custom holster as my TP9SA. Haven't really checked that yet. I'll have to pull out my holsters this weekend and see. I have one for...

Re: Really like my Elite Sub Compact so far

Thanks for the update. I've yet to find the SC in the wild, so I haven't had to resist buying one. Good reports like this aren't helping... My Elite is enough of a known quantity that this is one pistol I'd consider buying without going hands-on. Definitely. It's an Elite in a smaller package, so y...

Really like my Elite Sub Compact so far

It's a good little shooter. Not quite as small of course as other sub compact handguns available on the market, but that's fine with me. My usual EDC is a Walther P99c, so this is comparable in size. The trigger is familiar, since it's the same as my Elite, and the Olight PL Mini 2 fits on the rail ...

Yah, it's a head scratcher. I'm not understanding it at all. But it's scary. Drunk driver drank Bud Light? Sue Bud Light. I mean, they advertise too.

Re: TP9SF Elite vs Elite Combat

I definitely like the flat faced trigger on the EC better. And, it also feels smoother, though the original Elite trigger is outstanding. Really for me, it's the flat trigger, flared mag well and red dot option that pushed me to add an EC to my collection. But both are laser beams in my opinion.

Darn! It's on backorder now.
Might want to look on Gunbroker for one then. Who knows if they will actually restock them. Not sure they are real hot sellers. I've seen their SFx and V2 threaded barrel options on Gunbroker from time to time. It would be worth a search.

Ohhh you know it! Just trying to decide on an optic 🤔.
I've been very happy with the Vortex Venom on my SFx, but there some other great options out there, as mentioned.
