Re: Church safety...

Last year when at my LGS, I saw a bunch of people in the classroom getting ready to start. I looked in the door and on the screen was the words "Church Security". I asked one of the employees if they were teaching classes for armed church security and he said yes. It's a group of church's from aroun...

"Why I Stopped Carrying a Glock", now carrys a Canik

A video on YT of a guy who transitioned from Glock to Canik. Nothing wrong with Glocks, but I liked listening to his reasons for the switch. I prefer Caniks over Glocks as well, but that's just a personal preference.

DryFireMag, trigger reset magazine

Does anyone have one of these, or have tried it? Hopefully they will offer one for Canik in the not too distant future. https://www.dryfiremag.com/products/?fb ... BSZuTU7r08

Re: Supporting The Forum - Supporting Members

So, I bought a T-shirt today, even though I haven't posted but a couple of times, I'm on here a lot and have found a lot of useful information so I wanted to support the forum. However, it says I'm not allowed to send private messages, I've read the previous posts and I'm pretty sure I'm doing ever...

Re: Hello from Texas!

Welcome to the forum. That's great to hear the Elite SC has been pressed into service as your church's issued handgun for the security team. Let us know if you have any questions. We have a lot of knowledgeable people on here.

Re: SHIELD RMSc red dot on Elite SC and TP9DA

Viper has a bad track record. Oops.......... I read reviews and they were back and forth so I just decided to give it a try. Good thing is though, Vortex has excellent customer service. Anyone who had a problem with their Viper, Vortex took care of them. Some of them they even replaced the Viper wi...

Glad I didnt get the RMSc...... Went with a Vortex Viper instead. RMSc had a lot of complaints about the glass scratching easily.
Viper has a bad track record. Thankfully though Vortex has decent customer service. I've had my Venom though a couple years now and it's been great.

Soak how, with what?
I usually just use Hoppes oil. But might be better options out there.

Re: Night Sights for Canik (Night Fision and Others)

My NCStar hasnt failed me yet, I'd say maybe try a little liquid wrench but not sure if it would be to abrasive on the delicate canik slide finishes. I usually soak difficult sights, but we didn't have time the day I tried to change my buddys sights out. I told him to soak them for awhile and we'd ...

I'd be happy to share if they worked if I could just get the old one off..... I used the Sylvan standard sight pusher and got nowhere...

JG
Tried my Wheeler sight pusher on @Smitty504 's Elite SC and couldn't budge them. He has a set of Night Fision he wants to put on it, but so far no luck.

Re: Night Sights for Canik (Night Fision and Others)

Do the night fisions work for the 'elite sc'? The description mentions the elite, but not the elite sc. Thinking about a white front with the green tritium in the middle, but the orange seems good for when it gets dark. I'd contact Night Fision directly and ask. I have an SC but haven't put Night F...

Re: Conceal Carry Insurance? US Law Shield

I became less concerned about getting into a confrontation, it’s funny how your mindset can change when you know you have deadly force at your disposal. I’m in Texas (thank God) where we have some pretty good 2A laws. Absolutely. I don't carry every day, but when I do, I put up with a lot. I avoid ...

Re: Conceal Carry Insurance? US Law Shield

I have a class that I am teaching next week on these very topics, Castle doctrine and Stand your ground laws. To me, this is where things can get very dicey, since laws differ state to state. We have castle doctrine and stand your ground, but I don't know if it's interpreted the same in other state...

Re: Models tested for 60,000 rounds

In fact, a lot of shotguns and others that are sold through companies like Winchester are made by Turkish manufacturers. Was going to buy a CZ shotgun then found out they're Turkish, been meaning to investigate more and see if i can just get the same model cheaper with the turkish company name on i...

Re: Conceal Carry Insurance? US Law Shield

I've been using them for years now. Had to call them once. They assigned me a lawyer and they handled everything, although it wasn't much, since no shots were fired. Followed up an a couple of weeks to make sure all was good. JG Glad to hear. I'm concerned, even if no shots are fired, but someone c...

Conceal Carry Insurance? US Law Shield

So, I'm a slacker, and have put off getting carry insurance for awhile. I finally signed up the other day with US and Texas Law Shield. With the growing concerns for conceal carriers, I figured now is the time and better not wait any longer. I hope and pray to God that I never have to use it. But, i...

Re: Models tested for 60,000 rounds

Its amazing that some of the models are tested for 60,000 rounds. People could be using these things in the year 3000 AD. Seems like this characteristic of the firearm sets it above almost all other brands. Big selling point, but currently not well known looking at their website. Could be legal iss...
