I added a larger button on the mag release, same spring tension, but the larger area, seems to make it easier to release the magazine. Note, this is not a "Taller" button, but a larger or "extended" button.

I remember crossing the border (years and years ago) into Canada, on a hunting trip, they were VERY interested in whether or not we had any handguns. Made it seem, at least then, that Canada wasn't particularly "Handgun Friendly" Welcome to the group by the way!..... It does appear the pri...

I've got a Blackhawk, in .30 Carbine, I don't shoot it much, I got it in a multi gun trade. It's bark is worse than it's bite! It makes plenty of noise, and a huge fireball! I haven't shot it in years, and I let my son make off with my .45 Colt BlackHawk, which I enjoyed and shot a bit more, but sti...

A friend got a SFX for his wife, she let me shoot it, and a week later I had my own. I’ve shot USPSA single stack, with my nice 1911 for years, and earlier this year went to Carry Optics. With my old eyes it’s like cheating! The SFX with the FreedomSmith trigger, has the best trigger pull of any str...

Not spending any money at Dick's...Not a dime! The trick is to be well stocked up, and not let yourself get that desperate..... I reload everything I shoot, and that helps, but for non reloaders, the adage of buy it cheap, and stack it deep applies.... (same with reloading components)

I’ve been looking to buy a Rossi Model 92 with a 16-inch barrel, chambered for .357 Magnum. I’d like to get a stainless-steel version, but would be fine with a blued one as well. Seems like it would make a handy rifle for around the ranch, or camp. Anybody here have any experience with one, or know ...

Lot’s of great advice above. I’ll add, that guns that carry easily often aren’t “fun” to shoot. Small and light generally means more felt recoil, and as a result new shooters don’t enjoy practicing with their new gun. A cute little gun that feels great in the store, might not be the best choice for ...

If it's been working fine for the first 400 rounds, have you changed ammunition? Is the gun particularly dirty? Will it lock back, when you rack the slide, with an empty magazine inserted? Is the magazine dirty and the follower hanging up near the top? Has the ejection pattern changed? Any stove pip...
