Re: My New TP9 Elite Combat FDE

So the Walther PPQ mags fit and function perfect? That’s good to know. And that trigger is gold huh?

Re: SFX blackout 1000 rounds

I have a Vortex Viper on a G17mos with hundreds of rounds down range and no issues. Just picked up a TP9sfx with a Vortex Viper and so far on the one range trip with 300 rounds its been flawless. Just because you had a good one or two doesn’t mean they’re a good product. Why not buy a Holosun 407C/...

Re: TP9SFX First 100 Rounds

Yeah I actually purchased a TP9SA in 2015 and ran almost exclusively steel cased Tulammo all the time and I actually never had any malfs over thousands of rounds so it seems to be between each gun. They also only barely ejected but I also grip the shit out of my gun too so that might have something ...

Re: Stiker Fired Convert

I'd can't wait to shoot my wife's side-by-side with the Springfield Hellcat and the Sig P365XL. I've had so many people say that the latter two shoot pretty snappy - which I concur may be subjective. The SC feels better in my hand and hers in comparison, but we have shot none of the three to date. ...

Re: new mrds at shotshow???

Shield sights has also released the SIS, which is a next gen sight to the RMS and SMS, also available on optics planet. And a member here has a RomeoZero on his SC so you gotta be able to find them somewhere. Would like to see a micro honestly. I think with how popular the Hellcat and P365 are there...

Re: New Caniks for me!!!

That’s a perfect combo. Same controls, similar trigger, same grip, same mags, one for CCW one for home defense, excellent choices! Very logical and practical pair of pistols right there. Let us know how they shoot.

Re: TP9 Elite SC Mag Questions

Something people don’t seem to think about when it comes to how many rounds to carry on you is the prevailing use of body armor, especially in multiple active shooter events in recent history. What happens when you dump a mag “center mass” and realize nothing has changed cause dude is wearing rifle ...

Re: It's official.. I'm better with iron sights

One of the reasons you both might feel better with irons is the simple fact that Caniks don’t allow for a co witness. The reason co witness iron sights are important is because as you break the shot and the slide recoils and you’re dot disappears from the window, you can use the front sight as a ref...

Re: Need some Glock help

Don't forget the Gen4 is also available with an MOS cut, and if you use multiple optics the MOS is the way to go, but milling a slide will allow the optic to sit much lower and closer to the bore and be more secure. Hell so many people optic cut them I wouldn't be surprised if someone local to you c...

Re: Canik tp9sfx safeties?

I can attest that at above mentioned firing pin block safety does in fact work. My TP9SA has taken some serious hard hits and one time in particular involved a drop on asphalt so hard that it gouged some metal on the rear sight and moved it over and dropped the striker on a live round, but the block...

Re: What is your preferred way to conceal and carry?

I've been appendix carrying a full size TP9SA for over two years. It's the only place I can conceal that weapon and not have to finger f*** my cover garment all day like at four o clock (where I used to carry) to make sure its concealed and have it smack against everydamnthing in it's way. Not to me...

Re: Red Dot Options For The Elite SC

I asked @GallowayPrecision and they said they could mill the slot slightly longer and allow it to take any red dot, but so far factory it’s just the Shield, Jpoint, and Sig RomeoZero with that mounting footprint.

Re: SFX Blackout

I wonder if it’s the nitride finish only, like the ONE series of the Elite and regular SF. Would make sense for the price difference between the cerakote and not being similar to those two as well. I really like the gray slide but I really like that price haha

What is the recoil impulse like on the Sub Compact compared to your mid and full size Caniks? Just wondering how snappy it is or if it’s still big enough to be fairly controllable

Re: TP9SFx Relibillty ?

Well, the Philippine National Police ran an Elite-S thought a 20,000 round test in 2018 and it passed perfectly, as well as ice/sand/mud tests and a number of others. I think the only other pistol that’s passed is the Glock. So it’s good for at least 20k rounds with no parts replacements so I don’t ...
