Re: Observations when buying at Academy

I ordered 4 mags for my TX-22 from Academy online. They shipped them from four different stores. Worked out OK for me as I got them pretty quick, I was surprised they sprung for the extra costs to send 4 packages.

Re: New P365....Sucks!

I've shot the P365 and found it to be a very nice gun. It was a friend's and broken in. Sights were right on and it was easy to shoot. Sorry your experience was so bad.

Did you get the SAS model? I have read a few negative comments on that one.

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

That sucks, thought the barrel thing was an issue of the past but maybe still some older ones sitting at distributors. When I got mine I knew it was a possibility cause it was back over the winter when alot of people were reporting problems but I got one of the good ones. I was really interested in...

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

Well it seems that I got one of the TX22s with a bad barrel. I was shooting yesterday and my first magazine I put 15 of 16 into a 3 inch target at 7 yards. Great I think, but by the 5th magazine I can't even tell where I am hitting. I stop and turn over the target and put a 4 inch stick on target on...

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

So the 4 mags I ordered from Academy were shipped from 4 different stores, 1 per package. I have received 2, 2 still inbound. Took the TX22 and 4 mags to the range today and put 100 rounds through it. No issues, shot Winchester Super X 40 grain round nose. That's the fourth ammo type with almost no ...

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

Just have to file the front of the oval projection that fits into the slide. Depending on the height of the projection you may have to file the height down, mine was ok. Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

Put 12 mags (192 rounds) through the TX22 yesterday, one failure to feed, one failure to fire. The round went bang when ran through a second time. I was researching replacement sights and found a video where someone modified a Glock front sight to fit the TX22. I had a fiber optic front for a Glock ...

Is there a threaded barrel for the tx22?
Most come with a threaded barrel. That's the default except in states that don't allow them. The barrel comes with a thread protector installed and an adapter to 1/2 x28 in the box.

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

Here are the two 1911 style .22s I was looking at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Lwsj7D0qmg They both had their good points, but the TX22 won due to the similarities with my other guns. Also, my wife just started shooting and the TX22 will be a great trainer for her and just a bunch of fun for me...

Re: Picked up a Tuarus TX22

I was looking at a couple of 1911 clones in .22lr but ended up buying the TX22 because it is a better match for my 9 mm guns. Got mine 3 days ago and have only had it to the range once. Ran 4 mags, three types of ammo and no issues. Love the trigger and the fit in my hand.

Re: Who All is a Competiton Shooter?

Shot my TP9SF Elite in a Steel Challenge match on Sunday (5/17). I wish that I was as good as the gun. The Elite ran great, no problems at all despite the fact that it was a steady rain all day. When I got home I took apart all of my mags and cleaned them, water had encroached into the mags.I also s...

I am also a no vote on Tapatalk. Just don't like it and there is really no need with the skins that most forum software have for mobile users. It also adds it own ads unless you pay them a fee. Also the board owner can not control the ads that Tapatalk shows, so if they get an ad that is malware you...

Re: Anyone in Quarantine or Shelter At Home?

My wife had influenza A, tested and confirmed at the Doctor's, a couple of weeks ago. Since then we have both stayed in as much as possible. I still have to work, but my work does not require me to be in contact much with others since the facilities I visit are largely unmanned sites, but I do trave...
