Re: Ammo Is Out Of Stock?

I picked up my TX-22 last night from my FFL. He is also on the city council of his town. He was telling me that the local police chief was asking him if he could get the police department any ammo as their supplies were drying up. Pretty sad I've had my TX-22 for several months and have enjoyed sho...

Re: Jacketed Bullets

A few weeks ago I met two guys that I normally shoot matches with at the outdoor range for some practice. I loaded eight rounds of SNC coated bullets loaded with W231 and eight loaded with Sport Pistol. I gave my SFX to one of the guys and told him to just shoot them into the berm in a steady rate ...

Re: Jacketed Bullets

I finished up a batch of 9 mm cast lead, powder coated 130 gr. HP loads I ran on my new to me Lee 4 hole turret press. I have a couple hundred loaded up now and will be casting more tomorrow. The bullet is a NOE 135 gr. HTC design cast from 2 parts pure lead and 1 part clip on WW's powder coated wit...

Re: Jacketed Bullets

Well I kept waiting for some jacketed HP's to get in stock but I didn't want to wait 8 weeks on back order, so I bought my a new NOE 9 mm HP mold that also cast cup point and FN bullet. Cast up about 250 on Saturday and got them powder coated today using Metal Gray, Carolina Blue, Clear and Transpar...

You might want to look at RMR jacketed hollow points. I've heard good things about them, and the RMR bullets I've shot have been first rate.
The RMR bullets are my first pick, I like the nose profile on those 124 gr. HP's If they ever get them back in stock I'm going to pick some up.

Jacketed Bullets

Other than some 124 gr. NATO spec FMJ bullets that I put through my TP9SA I've pretty much fed my pistol a steady diet of my own powder coated 124 gr. cast lead bullet. I'm looking at picking up some 124 gr. jacketed or plated HP bullets in bulk probably around 500. Some bullets I've been looking at...

Re: Preferred Ammo for your Caniks

I ran a couple boxes of the German MEN 124 gr. NATO ammo through my TP9SA when I first got it as well as some 124 gr. FMJ's I had reloaded with no issues. These days all it gets is a steady diet of my NOE 124 gr. TC cast lead bullets, powder coated and sized to .357" behind 5.0 grs. of Power Pistol...

Re: Where Can I Find A 6 Cavity 9mm Hollow Point Mold

A six cavity 9 mm HP mold is going to be pretty hard to come by. MP Molds or NOE are your best bet but 3 to 5 cavity are the most common if either has them in stock. If you have never cast with a HP mold it's a different ball game that a non HP mold. Although production is slower I stick with 2 or 3...

Re: What's a good home defense 9MM round?

tn outdoors to me is the best on reviews, he has a good knowledge about what he is doing. Not to mention that he has tested all the main mfg. 9 mm an 45 ACP SD ammo on the market in a variety of handguns. You get function test, velocity reading vs. what the mfg. states, expansion / penetration test...

Re: bore diameter?

My theory with cast lead in both pistols and rifles when it comes to cast lead bullets is go big or go home. It's much easier to size it down than trying to figure out how to modify the bullet to make it fatter. I've had a bad experience with any mold that drops a bullet at .356" so I purchased a NO...

Re: Cast bullets?

I don't have the TP9SFx but I do have the TP9SA that I've owned for about two years and it's gotten a steady diet of my NOE 124 gr. TC cast lead bullets in both gas check and plain base versions lubed with LARS 2500+ or my own powder coating. I've cast the bullets mostly from 50/50 pure lead /wheel ...
