Re: Marlin Model 60 modified

Still having feeding issues, I am going to try a genuine magazine and see if it corrects it. Gun is fun to shoot. Perfect balance over its original state. Cheaper to shoot than a 9mm carbine.

Re: Marlin Model 60 modified

I had an opportunity to shoot the gun yesterday and I had some trouble with feeding. Upon inspection, I found the magazine ( pro mag) was rubbing the breech bolt and causing feeding issues. I trimmed the mag and it seemed to do better but it got dark and was raining and I couldn’t shoot it again. I ...

Re: Marlin Model 60 modified

If Progress means 'to move forward'...what does Congress mean?

If the definition is made by the their record it must be to move in circles.

Re: Marlin Model 60 modified

Yeah, not pretty but better balance and much shorter. I think I can cut another 2 inches off the Barrel without it being below the 26 inch legal limit. I am going to shoot it this weekend so I will let you know how it does.

Marlin Model 60 modified

Hey all. I was given a Marlin model 60 and it was missing the magazine inner tube. So I converted it to accept 795 magazines and then put it a Badger M22 stock. I have not fired it yet but it is balanced at the hand grip. I think it will be a fun little plinker. https://i.ibb.co/qBLyLGV/Modified-Mar...

Re: TP9V2 just died

The Galloway trigger pulls the trigger bar down slightly because it lengthens the radius of the trigger. I believe in some cases just enough to affect the Cocking of the gun. I have one in mine and while it functions fine live fire, it will not charge with the slight pull back of the slide unless I ...

Re: 1911 .45acp questions

I see the photos of these beautiful 1911s and want one so bad. I just wish I could afford just one of the nice ones. Not a Safe queen but a Nice functional target pistol. Maybe some day.

Re: For anyone that has trouble seeing the front sight(aka old eyes)

I am nearsighted, astigmatism and old eyes. I had a pair of glasses made for computer work so I could see the screen without looking through the bifocals. I can see the front sight perfectly. Things in the distance are a little fuzzy but, I can see the target well enough to hit center.

Re: Canik customer service

The general recommendation is run 124 gr NATO ammo for the first few hundred rounds. I ran probably 500 rounds through mine before I started running lighter ammo and have never had a problem.

Re: Striker pin hole wear?

I don't know if it is just this pistol but seems excessive for sub 2K round count.

Striker pin hole wear?

Anyone notice a wear pattern in the firing pin hole on their weapon? I have been changing some springs in mine and it looks like the hole is wearing funny. I only have about 1000-1500 rounds through it. Maybe this is what is causing the firing pins to break. I don't dry fire a lot either. https://i....

Re: Carrying with an empty chamber

When we were shopping for a house, the wife insisted on all the bedrooms being on the same floor and same end of the house. Having a big master bedroom away from the kids would have been nice and quiet, but too far from her. She is a mamma bear and don't you dare hurt one of her cubs. She is the sam...

Re: Carrying with an empty chamber

Interesting input from everyone. I don't carry, though I have a weapons license. If I did, I would carry my V2 with one in the chamber and in DA mode or some kind of Hammer fired cocked and locked. The trigger pull effort on the V2 is significant and long so you have to want to pull it. I really onl...

How about this one that’s on its way? Black Chrome Gold Cup 2, limited edition NIB.

1000 manufactured, discontinued years ago.
Beautiful. I could never own something like that. I would want to shoot it.

I so want a 1911. Just cannot justify it. But they look so cool. I like the look of the grips you have.
