Oh yeah, carry gun is clean and maintained. I check if it is properly lubricated on a schedule.
But I am 5'7", 140 lbs, so there is no way I am carrying SFL, haha.

Eh, with non corrosive ammo I really don't see the need.
But to each their own :)

Forgot to mention, 99% of the rounds were steel cases Tula. $145 for 1000 pre Covid, shipped.
The good ol days!

TP9SFL 5000 rounds later

What an absolute beast this TP9SFL. It just turned 5k rounds and I only cleaned it when it started to function less than ideal, or before running fast drills. TiN coating on the barrel has 4200 rounds through it, recoil system, trigger and Talon grips - 4k rounds, Vortex Venom around 3k rounds. Only...

Have one on my TP9SFL, and seriously thinking about adding them to all of my handguns. There is just no comparison for me.

Range trip 2, another 300 rounds having me scratching my head. 124gr Remington 50 rounds, 0 issues, 124gr PPU NATO (loaded hot) 8 failure to go in to battery out of 50. Then 200 115gr of Federal with 0 issues.
It seems that it just does not like hot NATO rounds, which does not make any sense to me.

Before I bought mine, I had same question. But I was not looking for a CC (quite happy with my Taurus PT111G2). So answer for me was SFL. Best junction of price/features and extra long barrel is a good bonus.

However, I was looking for potential CC application - Elite would have been an answer.

Just returned from the range with brand new SFL. 150 rounds of 124gr white box Winchester - failure to go in to battery every 3rd or 5th shot. 50 rounds of 124gr Fiocchi - only 2 failure to go in to battery. 100 rounds of Federal 115 - no issues.
