Re: newb looking for range ammo advice

Hang on procrawler- there are several comp shooters on the forum....you'll get a good answer shortly. I am in love with the S&B in 115 and 124, but they may tend to a tad hot for what you want. I shoot a lot of S&B 115 through my DA. Its what my range carries and ordered a bunch online when I found...

Apologies for my ignorance, but I am curious what purpose low power factor ammo is for
Low recoil, shoots softer allows for faster follow up shots.

Re: Just Another Canik Sunday

Yep, took the son to the indoor range today and shot up a bunch of 9mm. The Elite-s was flawless (and accurate as above, ragged holes all day). The SFX has had a problem with the cheap WWB 124 NATO. The primers are failing at a 1-2 per mag rate. Not in the Elite and no other ammo in the SFX. Not su...

Re: Optics

Anything for a glock 17 will work. If you use the decocker, try and find one that is flat on the bottom. The one I used on my DA was designed to fill in the angles on a glock slide, so I had to clearance some of it to be able to use the decocker. I would imagine you don’t really use it on yours, whe...

So that was actually a question for me. Can the regular threaded barrel work in the EC? I thought so but wasn't sure.

And I'm actually not a fan of the looks of the ECE
Preppers has a 1/2”-28 threaded barrel that will fit in any elite.

Re: New member

You can get the regular elite and then a threaded barrel or get the elite combat executive that has the SAE 1/2”-28 threads. I would probably just get the elite combat and swap out the barrel to the 1/2”-28 threads when you are ready to buy a can. Its so much more gun than a regular elite.

Hello. Thanks for letting me in the group. Haven't purchased my first Canik yet, but I'm very close. I'm still researching but it looks like it'll be the Elite Combat, followed by the elite with a threaded barrel. Look forward to interactions. Welcome to the forum! The Elite Combat is the elite wit...

I doubt you would need to adjust for the weight you lose by milling, due to putting the weight back on with the optic.

Based on your recommendation, I need to consider adding a DA to my stable.
I love mine. The SA Trigger is really really nice, just like all the rest of the TP9 lineup, but has the added DA trigger if you plan on carrying it.

Re: New Member From Nashville, TN

Welcome to the forum, I still EDC a Walther P99c since Canik has yet to release something in comparable size. I really like Walthers, but the Canik in my humble opinion edges them out. For me personally, they fit my hands a little better and they are just more accurate. May not be everyone's experi...

Re: New from the Netherlands with a ?

Yeah not sure if anyone can ship them due to ITAR and other reg's even though it shouldnt be a big deal since its going to another NATO country. BTW the $15 mags are promags you don't want those stick with the OEM MecGar's. I bought a promag in a pinch to make sure I had enough mags for a steel sho...

Re: Just picked up my TP9DA

I just got my DA 2 months ago or so. Its a great shooter. All i had to do was lube mine and it has eaten everything I have shot through it from steel case 115 gr to 100 grain frangible ammo.

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

I like doing dot torture once a trip, holster and reload work, some cadence drills, target transitions, stuff like that. I’m still new to shooting, so I may be doing the wrong stuff.

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

Do you guys that only load your mags full just shoot statically at a target, then reload and keep doing the same thing? I run drills or tests from the beginning to end of every range session. Sometimes using an empty mag, some drills require only a specific amount of ammo in each mag. I’ve seen a lo...

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

I’ve looked at them. I rarely load full magazines while at the range, so I don’t know if I would get much benefit. I usually do 5 rds in 3 magazines to shoot 15 rds over stuffing 1 mag full. I usually only load 10 but even the stock loader makes it easier. I’ve only been shooting for a little over ...
