Re: Brand New TP9SFX - A DOZEN malfunctions out of 100 rounds

Thanks! This year I want to shoot the USPSA Nationals in October. My goal is to shoot 15,000 + rounds before nationals.

Re: Brand New TP9SFX - A DOZEN malfunctions out of 100 rounds

I have 2 TP9SFx. First one I cleaned and lubed her up and shot some 115 grain ammo (don’t remember what it was) and my slide would not lock back. However, after a few hundred rounds the slide would lock back. These guns are designed for NATO ammo and are way over sprung for majority of “civilian” ma...

Re: SFX Blackout

Here are some pictures from my accuracy testing yesterday afternoon. These pictures are not in the order I shot them. I believe they are a good representation of what Canik TP9SFx are capable of. The Pistol is more accurate than I am able to demonstrate. First picture is 3 rounds of 125 RN Blue Bull...

Re: SFX Blackout

Thanks to Janik I can post pictures of my Blackout TP9SFx. I shot it yesterday and like my first TP9SFx it’s a shooter. As you can see from the pictures the only change besides color, is the trigger bar, firing pin block and locking block are either chrome or nickel plated. I also added the Freedoms...

I have one in my possession. This is my second TP9SFx for competitions. I’ll post pictures as soon as I have a chance. Hopefully tomorrow morning.

Re: Who All is a Competiton Shooter?

I have been shooting USPSA since 2015. I shoot TP9SFx in Carry Optics. Current classification is A in CO and B in Limited. Before I started shooting USPSA I was shooting Benchrest rifle competitions. I am also the USPSA Match Director for my local club.

Re: Reloading for USPSA Carry Optics

I use 3.2 grains of Sport Pistol with a Win or Federal SPP with a 145 Grain Brazos round nose coated bullet or ACME 147 grain coated FP bullet. I get a 136 power factor out of my TP9Sfx with great accuracy. When I shot Illinois Sectional a couple weeks ago I got the same PF across their chromo's. I ...

Re: High round count Caniks?

Bought my TP9SFx in April, 2019. Last match I broke the 5,000 round count. So far it's been very reliable.

Re: Canik customer service

I have a TP9SFx that came from the factory with the throat cut at an angle and when I would shoot my coated bullets it would lead up so bad it would take an hour to clean it out. I'm not kidding or exaggerating about the time it took to clean. I sent pictures to Canik explaining what the problem my ...

Re: Low PF 9mm for us non-reloader competition shooters

Out of curiosity I have shot Federal Syntech 150 & 124 grain. Both were good shooting and made minor PF and I would not hesitate to use either one in a match if I didn't have my own reloads available. I personally prefer the 150 grain. It's very close to my own cast and coated bullets I mainly shoot.

Re: 135gr Acme plated bullet load data/experience

I've shot thousands of 135 grain coated bullets. Both Black Bullets and ACME bullets. My load used 3.6 grains of Sport Pistol with Winchester small pistol primers. Sport Pistol is my go to powder for 9mm in my TP9sfx I use to shoot Carry Optics and my 40 S&W I shoot in Limited division of USPSA. Dat...
