Re: TP9SFX Mag Release Button IDPA SSP

I've used the TP9sfx in several Tier III and Tier IV matches around Texas including the Texas State Championship and I have not had any issues with using the factory mag release in any of these competitions. If you're using the medium sized mag release (the one installed when you purchase the gun) y...

Re: San Antonio TX Comp Suggestions

I shoot with both Alpha-Mike (USPSA) and Texas Tactical (IDPA) as well as the Bandera IDPA group on occasion. Depending on which part of town you're in, I'd suggest coming out to Cedar Ridge Range on the weekends and running with the Texas Tactical group if you're just getting started. They're a gre...

Re: Now What?

For a beginning shooter who is just getting familiar with shooting handguns in general, I agree with going to the range and getting very familiar with all aspects of the gun. However, for a shooter who wants to improve their skills, dry fire is the best method of improvement, not live fire. You shou...

Re: Failure to eject

Two things here... 1. Just like everyone else here explained, the TP9SFX needs to be broken in properly. I was using 147gr 130 PF ammo and I just racked my slide to the rear for the first week I owned it. After you put the first 1000 rds through it, it should be running very well. If you don't want ...

A cheap off brand $30 unit I bought on ebay works great.
Do you have a link for this cheap $30 projector. The only projectors I can find on Ebay are $50+. Also, how many lumens does your $30 projector put out?

Re: New TP9sfx Owner

Thanks GlennSFX. I did lube the slide rails and specific points on the barrel before I fired it, but I didn't clean it. I guess I should clarify that the gun wasn't "extremely dirty" , but the white rag certainly pulled some carbon off the barrel which made me think the same thing - perhaps the gun ...

Re: New TP9sfx Owner

In my experience how clean or dirty a gun gets is usually dependant on the ammo. Thanks for the reply GaDawg0513. I agree with your statement, but I've never felt like Federal ammo ran that dirty so I was curious if the gun was perhaps delivered dirty. I just gave her a good cleaning so I'll have t...

New TP9sfx Owner

So after doing my research and firing a TP9sfx a fellow squad member owned at the range two weekends ago, I broke down and purchased a new Canik TP9sfx from a reputable online source. I took it to the range the next day and loaded the first 20 rd magazine with Federal 115 gr RN ammo. Nearly every on...
