Well that's a little disappointing. I love the Canik but if other gun manufacturers are going to be innovative and release guns that are better for competition performance, I will have to spend my money with them.

Edit: typo

:-BD :-BD Hey fellow Canik owners! I was wondering if anyone has heard any news from Canik on the potential for any new striker fired pistols coming out soon. I've been scouring the web searching for info on maybe a new competition gun being released from Canik but I haven't had any luck. The TP9SFX...

RWIG Janik Jester560 zeda3000 Sorry I took so long getting back to you guys on this topic. Both pairs of glasses came in several weeks ago and I've had the opportunity to try them both during IDPA matches. Although they don't advertise as shooting glasses or safety glasses, these glasses turned out...

I wear standard safety glasses or sunglasses when shooting my optic. No issues there.

Thanks RWIG for the recommendations. Based on those, I purchased two different pair from Amazon today totaling around $20. I'll let everyone know if they work or if they're junk (they have mixed reviews). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084ZC1XZF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc...

zeda3000 thanks for the recommendation. I think what is affecting me is called Presbyopia. Based on the research I've done on the topic (and I have done lots) this is a condition caused by the thickening and loss of flexibility of the lens inside the eye. Using the correct lenses to adjust for this...

Guys, I need your help. My whole life I've had perfect vision. Then I hit my mid 40's and found that if I wanted to read ingredients labels I had to get readers. I can still shoot without needing magnified glasses but it just makes that front site much more crisp if I wear my clear, full lens 1.0 El...

I've used the TP9sfx in several Tier III and Tier IV matches around Texas including the Texas State Championship and I have not had any issues with using the factory mag release in any of these competitions. If you're using the medium sized mag release (the one installed when you purchase the gun) y...

I shoot with both Alpha-Mike (USPSA) and Texas Tactical (IDPA) as well as the Bandera IDPA group on occasion. Depending on which part of town you're in, I'd suggest coming out to Cedar Ridge Range on the weekends and running with the Texas Tactical group if you're just getting started. They're a gre...

For a beginning shooter who is just getting familiar with shooting handguns in general, I agree with going to the range and getting very familiar with all aspects of the gun. However, for a shooter who wants to improve their skills, dry fire is the best method of improvement, not live fire. You shou...

Two things here... 1. Just like everyone else here explained, the TP9SFX needs to be broken in properly. I was using 147gr 130 PF ammo and I just racked my slide to the rear for the first week I owned it. After you put the first 1000 rds through it, it should be running very well. If you don't want ...

Do you have a link for this cheap $30 projector. The only projectors I can find on Ebay are $50+. Also, how many lumens does your $30 projector put out?

Thanks GlennSFX. I did lube the slide rails and specific points on the barrel before I fired it, but I didn't clean it. I guess I should clarify that the gun wasn't "extremely dirty" , but the white rag certainly pulled some carbon off the barrel which made me think the same thing - perhap...

In my experience how clean or dirty a gun gets is usually dependant on the ammo. Thanks for the reply GaDawg0513. I agree with your statement, but I've never felt like Federal ammo ran that dirty so I was curious if the gun was perhaps delivered dirty. I just gave her a good cleaning so I'll have t...

So after doing my research and firing a TP9sfx a fellow squad member owned at the range two weekends ago, I broke down and purchased a new Canik TP9sfx from a reputable online source. I took it to the range the next day and loaded the first 20 rd magazine with Federal 115 gr RN ammo. Nearly every on...
