Polishing Recommendation

I'm a guy into being subtle but effective on builds. I wanted a LITTLE bling to my last 1911 build so I opted to get the barrel polished to a mirror sheen by a certified metallurgist. I'm a pretty good do it myself guy, but I decided not to attempt this after viewing all the horrible dremel finished...

Re: Hello From Missouri

Welcome from Nebraska! Congrats on your SFX, pretty good deal retail you came across. I've had "missing" screws from Vortex optics frequently. After a brief call to Vortex I had the screws delivered to my mailbox. I've also found exact replacement screws at my local Ace Hardware store. I have the Vi...

Re: Anyone have a BodyGuard or use Hydra-Shok?

I loved the Hydrashocks, but switched to HST in my Browning 1911 .380. For a non combat caliber coming out of 3" barrel (My 1911 here is 3 and 5/8") the HST does the job. It runs a little cheaper at $15.00/20 rounds (.75). The expansion is on par with a 124 grain 9mm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Really nice. I've been wanting to paint an AR or two of mine, never get around to it. Like the Kryptex style you did.

Re: Suggestions for a good inexpensive scope for .22 AR?

Running a Nikon ProStaff Rimfire on my Ruger 10/22. Very impressed with it. Was around $90-$100 retail at Scheels. https://youtu.be/4pD2IBVFZvI https://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/nikon-products/riflescopes/prostaff-rimfire-ii-3-9x40-bdc-150.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH-Jf4aLo6c https://...

Re: Military vs Civilian Shooter. Which one is better?

I'm an Army Vet of 16 years with a few deployments. I had a short stint shooting competitively in Germany & Ft. Benning. The majority of skill gained was practicing on my own and with others of higher talent & experience in a civilian/off duty capacity. I don't think it's a them vs. us argument. Wha...

Re: Quarantine Builds?

The build I mentioned earlier that my 11 yo grandson is working on with me is completed. He did about 90% of the work. I will download photo as soon as I get it in my computer. This is a 24" 308/7.62 SS fluted match barrel. He is so stoked. I told him he gets to fire this first https://i.ibb.co/wYH...

Re: Should I be disappointed or not?

I emailed the shop with my disappointment and this was their full reply: Have you ever purchased anything imported by Century Arms? Caniks are and they always come about the same. It's not the stores that touch the tags (unless they block serial numbers). It's actually the US Customers that go thro...

Re: Quarantine Builds?

Put together some Sig P320 parts. Ordered Wilson Combat full size grip frame and Sig straight 90 degree trigger. I had a tuned up M17 FCU, so installed the trigger to it. X-VTAC slide with V-TAC target barrel and sights. 21 round magazines. Through it all together and sort of like it. IMG_1040 (2)....
