There was a time, no one wanted a 1911, "you couldn't hit anything with a .45".
Guess revolver makers spread that rumor.

Re: What handgun do you EDC the most?

Glock 43 it is. Hit 90° all ready and this one comes in at one pound. Lets see, the .45 was pushing 3 pounds and the Range Officer was 2 pounds. Feels like I walking on air.

welcome to the forum, eh

Made quite a few business trips to Ottawa. Those guys kicked it into high gear in the winter. Building hockey rinks in their backyard, 24 hours skating on the Rideau canal.

Welcome Hoosier, a beautiful state. Did a lot of RVing up there.

Been looking into Freedomsmith trigger. With the Ghost springs, my trigger pull is just under 3# but still has a lot of excess.

Way to go

I was talking to a clerk at Academy and they said they don't charge a fee for transfers. I mentioned Bud's at a Mom & Pop store and they said they charge a premium for Bud's transfers.

Benchmark lobbyist support the Interstate Transport Act. It protects owners of automatic knives but the NRA is saying it doesn't include the same protections for gun owners. Something about "right of action" not included for gun owners.

Re: Greetings from Italy

The prices are all over the place, $250 to $4,000. I can buy a polymer frame for $250+, a steel frame for $400+. The "Extreme" models go for $1,000 $2,000 and $4,000. I will have to say, the factory boxing is quite impressive. Only issue I have had with Canik, is replacement parts not made in Americ...

Re: Greetings from Italy

Welcome Small world, been looking at an Italian handgun, the Tanfoglio. Had good luck with Turkish handguns, Canik. Do you have an opinion on the Witness? As a "funny" note, I was on a business trip to France, drinking coffee with a co-worker from Italy. As I was thinking the French served a small c...

I am on the North side of Houston, been hitting ranges between 1488 and 2920. There is a private outdoor range on Zion's road been trying to get info on.
Good luck with your SFX and let me know if you get up in this area.

Factory Holster Retention Release TP9SFx

Ran into a guy that explained why the retention release was on the inside, between the holster and paddle. It is safer. If the retention release was on the outside and released with you index finger, you are more likely to draw and you finger lands on the trigger. You are supposed to flat finger a r...

Canik running under 3 pounds with Ghost springs( Striker and plunger). Keeping her thoroughly clean, just a drop of oil on the rails. Still running the original firing pin. Probably around 800 rounds now.
