Re: Calling all DFW members

Depends on the date, but I'm interested. I'm retired so what the hell else would be better than shooting? I'm in Allen, but not really limited in where I'd go.

New to canik but loving it so far. Looks to be a lot of well informed members here so I'm happy I landed here with this great gun and forum
Welcome! Haven't been here long myself, but it seems a great place. I've already received help.

Re: Failure to eject

I just emailed Century for a new spring... Went back to the range with my SFX.... It's been fine with 115g the last couple of trips, but today had FTE over and over again... I guess it wasn't as broken in as I thought.... Hopefully they will respond soon and I can get the reduced recoil spring.... ...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

I too am not sure if I'll keep the fiber optic sights on. When ambient light is lacking, they seem lose their value. That said, I was told that there are different brands of fiber optic sights that almost seem to glow with good lighting, and provide better sighting even with lower light conditions....

$8.79 at Cabelas/Bass Pro right now for WWB 9mm NATO.
Thanks! I'll go pick some more up!
My bad. Sale starts Mon (3/4/19).
I wondered why I couldn't find it, but I hadn't gone up there yet. Thanks for the update!

Re: Another Failure to Eject

Glad it worked out for you... Sorry I couldn't meet up with you this morning.... PM me if your still open for tomorrow.... If I remember right that has the fiber optic sights.... FGC is not very well lit so the sights don't do well there..... It does have fiber optic sights, not sold on them yet. I...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

Another update: What a difference a day (and some 124 grain NATO rounds) makes! Picked up 300 rounds of 124 NATO at Walmart and went to the range. What a sweet shooting gun this thing is. Pumped 300 rounds through it without a single issue. Without a doubt the most accurate pistol I've ever shot. No...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

Just an update. I contacted Century Arms yesterday by email with my problem, and they quickly responded with a note that they were sending me the lighter weight recoil spring assembly. I'm really impressed with how quickly they responded to the issue I reported. I'm heading to the range today with s...

Welcome aboard! Lots of help here for any problem... on a Canik; we can't cure balding. <sniff, sniff>
Well that's a damned shame. I probably need more help with balding than with the Canik.

Re: Another Failure to Eject

What brand is the 124gr you got? Likely just not hot enough as said, you can call Century and they should send you new RSA with lighter spring but I'd just get a few box's of 124gr NATO to run through it. I got my Elite shortly after they first came out and mine wouldnt function with anything less ...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

Both of mine are have been flawless feeding and ejecting right out of box. Put something hot in it and see it it cycles. If it does the recoil spring is too heavy. I'm going to do that tomorrow. If the recoil spring is too heavy, what then? Is it something I get from Canik, or somewhere else? If it...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

I don't believe it was 124 nato. I had just purchased a thousand rounds a few months ago to use at the range, and had no problem in the Glock or Walther, so I hoped I was good to go. I did clean and lube the gun before I took it to the range. I will lock the slide back when I finish cleaning it here...

Re: New Member from DFW

Funny, I just left there. I live in Allen. I'm not a member there, but I often go up there during their weekly special for us old guys and vets at $10 per hour. Great range. I just left a post in the range report section. I couldn't get a single ejection from the Elite with 124 grain FMJ. Looking fo...

Another Failure to Eject

Purchased my TP9sf Elite S on Sunday. I have read a lot reports concerning a failure to eject, but most seemed to be a year or so old, so I hoped that it was an issue that would have been resolved by now. Not so on this one. I was shooting 124 grain FMJ rounds that performed flawlessly in my Glock a...
