Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Ugh the more pics I see the more I want it. I've been wanting to get a revolver now for a few years and was ready to buy one until I saw this, and in tungsten no less. I can match my Elite and have a carry gun that's even lighter. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm wondering if it will fit my holster or...

Re: Federal Ammo vs Fiocchi

Thanks guys, these are all very helpful. From what I can gather, it should improve performance after a few hundred more rounds, but it still seems as though Federal has been inconsistent. Luckily, I prefer and almost only shoot Fiocchi, which was flawless, so I am not too worried. The Elite is an aw...

I’m from upstate NY, Far from the communist downstate folk. Deep in the snow belt. Looking to buy my first canik. Leaning towards the tp9sfl, but am concerned about the size. Is there a comparison chart of all the different canik models?
Welcome, I'm from CNY and I carry a SF Elite every day!

Re: Federal Ammo vs Fiocchi

Fiochi tends to be loaded a bit on the hot side its not NATO spec but close to it. Federal and winchester bulk packs tend to be loaded a bit light so if your Elite's fairly new you may have stove pipes with lighter ammo until its broke in all the way. My first outting with my Elite it would stovepi...

Federal Ammo vs Fiocchi

So I took out my brand new Elite out this past Saturday and put my first couple hundred rounds down range. I purchased Fiocchi 124 grain FMJ 9mm (per recommendation of warrior poet society) and it performed flawlessly. I swapped out for 115 grand federal target range ammo (that the store gave me for...

Re: holsters

I don't have an SFx or Elite Combat, but I do have an Elite and I use a Legacy Firearms Holster IWB, and it's freaking great. They make tons of different holsters for several Canik models. Highly recommend.

Re: New from NY, yes, NY

Welcome aboard the forum. Native Long Island'er with several stints in Buffalo here. Still got family in the Lockport area. Last time in Buffalo I shot with my nephew and he walked me thought the state laws (sort of). No going back there for me. [-X It's a tough way to live for sure, for those of u...

Re: New from NY, yes, NY

I don't know if NY can be saved maybe if Westchester and everything below slides into the ocean. Shame because it is beautiful upstate. I can say I do not miss shoveling snow though, Winter here is about 6 weeks where the temp ranges anywhere from 30ish to 80. Sure it can. We even have an assemblym...

Re: New from NY, yes, NY

Ah yes, the logic of politicians imagining that if someone were to plan a mass murder, they would have the moral clarity to cross a state line to buy a 30 (or 100 for that matter) round mag so as not to run afoul of their law. Genius. Listen we all know that criminals who are about to shoot a place...

Re: New from NY, yes, NY

Welcome to the forum. Most would be surprised (I have been) of the percentage of sales that I send out to places like New York, Commiefornia, and other well known anti-gun states. I think that since my product line isn't regulated that a lot of gun owners in those areas are looking for whatever the...

Re: New from NY, yes, NY

Welcome, good choice since your limited to 10rd's anyway. Born and raised in NY myself but escaped a few years ago, still have some family there between Kingston and Albany, and on long island. Did they give a full unrestricted permit? Yeah I live in a county that is relatively gun friendly. So unr...

New from NY, yes, NY

Hey folks. New Canik owner from NY (not the city, upstate). Just got my permit, only took about a year total (facpalm). And out of the first several pistols I had my hands on, the Canik TP9SF and TP9SF Elite were by far my favorite. So, I just ordered an Elite. Should be here in a week or so. Can't ...
