Re: Nils Jonasson and Canik/Century

It is an honest question, there are studies being done about eye distance. For example, for those of us that are married, measure your eye distance to your spouse. Apparently people are attracted to people with the same eye distance. My question was asking if closer eye distance or wider eye distanc...

St Paul gun show

Popped into the show this morning, not a bad gathering. Nice to see more booths carrying Caniks, even had one dealer compliment my taste when I was eyeballing a brand new elite od green with a $315 price tag. Ended up getting a new turkey gun. Saw one of these clunkers, I know there are a few fan bo...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Am I the only one that actually likes the Taurus G2C? Easy conceal size, double stack, not a bad trigger(I’m switching it out soon, thanks Galloway) extremely easy on the wallet, got it polished it lubed it shot it, no issues 1000+ rounds so far G2C has been on my radar for awhile, and I'm about to...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

I had to fine tune the trigger safety on mine, it had the notorious hang up that the G2C is known for. Unfortunately, that trigger safety is a bit wobbly; it's the single weak point on the entire pistol. Mine has the same hang up, debating playing with it or just getting the Galloway setup. I had T...

Re: Ultrasonic cleaning of firearms

I was debating getting one of these to thoroughly clean the SFX frame. Plan was to take it down as if swapping the trigger, removing the "Locking Block", "Trigger/Bar Assembly" and the "Ejector Block" with the sear components, and cleaning them separately in the ultrasonic cleaner. Once clean, remo...

Re: STI Firearms

This also lead to an interesting conversation because the fully loaded competition gun had a compensator and I was stove piping every round. Obviously it had been used a bunch that day and hadn’t been cleaned. I had pointed out I was running standard 115 blazer. The guy then said I should be using h...

STI Firearms

Just took a few STIs for a test drive. A range near me had a rep come out. Thoroughly not impressed. Solidly built gun, no wiggle or rub anywhere to be found. Works like a $2000 gun should, or how a $500 gun does. John Wick gun was shiny but it doesn’t out perform like I was hoping. Ergonomics weren...

Taurus g2c

Hey, I’m looking at the combo kit for the g2c. How much of a difference does the 18 spring make? Is it noticeable, what is the break in period? Altogether it’s a badass deal, thank you

Re: Ultrasonic cleaning of firearms

Alconox, tergazyme is what I use in my lab. Alcojet would be the best bet your gun cleaning. Works well with polymers and metals. USDA approved. Both are powders, high dilution. After a good rinse everything comes out looking good, softer metals can’t be left to sit in the solution or they build cry...
