Re: Favorite 22LR and why.

Thanks so much! Keep it coming! Good advice to buy a variety to test first (and good excuse to shoot). 5000 round buy right off was exaggeration on my part. My 10/22 from the mid 1980's seems to fire any old thing. I think I still have some old 22 Remington lead from the 80's lol. You know, some on...

Re: Gun Lube Suggestions/Motor oil as a gun lubricant

I generally use G96 for overall cleaning, but ALWAYS treat all my weapons with Militec-1 first, even a teeny bit of Militec grease on the slides before final assembly!
It will take away all the grittiness, make all the metal surfaces feel like butter!

Anytime you can get 22LR for less than 2 cents a pop is ALWAYS good!

The steel range doesn't care if it is 36 or 40 grain, still goes ting! **==

Re: Belly band holster

I have both the 10x Tactical and the ComfortTac Belly band holsters, use the ComfortTac a bit more. The pocket does collapse after after pulling the weapon, but have never had to draw, I always put the pistol in it's pouch BEFORE I put it on, pretty comfy AIWB, about waistline deep, or sometimes, I ...

Re: Promags for Canik

I have a Ruger PC9 that I would like to buy some 30 rd Glock mags for, but most have such bad reviews, and the stock 18 rounders run flawlessly!

Re: Canik OEM Threaded Barrel

I think I would go the cheap way IF I could be suppressed, thread adapter, diesel inline fuel filter, not too fat, and pretty quiet! I believe the filter is a #4003, and the adapters are about 10 bucks I have a buddy in IA that uses these on his .308 and AR style rifles, I screwed one on my Ruger PC...

I been eyeballing that 32 rounder myself, I usually try to buy factory magazines, but the 2 18 round Promags I have for my M&P run flawlessly!

Re: Removing barrel from slide

The first time I took my barrel out of my SFX, it was real tight, had to fiddle with it to get it out.
After I took it apart and treated it, and put 350 rounds thru it, it is a lot better now, but still tight!
Tight is all right, it should break in well!

My Fobus paddle holster works well for what it is, and the SW M&P 9/40 model works great for my SFX

Re: Holster

My have both a Safariland 5195-819 S&W M&P 5 holster that fits the SFX like a glove, as well as my cheap Fobus paddle holster made for the SWM&P9/40, but when I tried the 9 pro in the new SMC holster, it wouldn't fit!

Re: Removing +2 Base Plate on 20-round Mags

LOL, it's all good, just insert a small screwdiver in the slot, pull down a bit, slide your finger over the top to catch the spring as you push the base plate off!
Just had all 4 of mine off to do some grinding so they fit in the Taylor Freelance Magwell!
