Range Day

To be honest I went to the range to shoot a glock  . I shot a GSSF match on Sunday and my score was way below my normal. I am usually about 82 total time and points down. Anything under 100 is very good as there are actually a good many in the 300-500 range. It was my fault completely as I ha...

Re: New addition..

Very nice and looks all original. Someone bought it and probably shot it a few times and then just kept it safe.
They are fun guImagens. I have killed many deer with mine.

Re: Field & Stream (Dick's) may close....

I have not been in a Dick's since they first started all this anti gun mess. I read today they are eliminating all guns and hunting stuff. Soon they will just sell basketball shorts and yoga pants and they will go out of business just like Sports Town and Sports Authority who tried to do the same th...

Re: OCD: Obsessive Cleaning Disorder

I shoot way too much and have too many guns to be cleaning OCD.
I usually run 2-500 rounds before cleaning unless I won't be shooting that gun for a while.
After every use they get wiped down before going back into the safe,
I do clean my CCW after every range trip though.

Re: New Clinger Ultra-Conceal OWB Holster Question

I use "Rusty's Rags" which is a silicone fleece pad to wipe my guns down after carrying. It does a nice job on kydex too and does not make them too slippery.

I use it on magazines too.

Re: need a brighter front sight. please help.

https://www.safetyglassesusa.com/optx-20-20-hydrotac-stick-on-bifocal-lenses/ I have been using a stick on bifocal for at least the last five years. It is strong enough to give me a clearer front sight but not so strong as to make the targer difficult to see. I use a 1.25+ your needs might differ. G...

Re: Shoot it right out of the box?

I have taken numerous guns from the gun store to the range with no problem.

I usually swap the bore and add a drop or two of a good lube in critical areas.

Re: TP9SFX with Freedomsmith Trigger Range Day!

I shot a small outdoor match last night. Local range gave us a fully lit bay and we run a once a month match there since our indoor range shut down. I had some issues trying to shoot fast that did not pop up at my range session or in dry fire and that was failure to get my finger on the trigger safe...

Re: FN Handguns Anyone?

https://i.ibb.co/S3r1rWb/FNS-Picture-2.jpg A few years ago I went to the NRA show in Atlanta with the idea to handle a bunch of guns that I might use in IDPA Compact Carry Division. After fondling about 8 different offerings the FNS 9C felt the best to me and soon after I got home I was on the inte...

Re: TP9SFX with Freedomsmith Trigger Range Day!

Yes steel is great. I put this set up together for less than $100 and have been using it for three or four years. Unfortunately at my outdoor range you can only use steel in the six lower bays facing away from the club house and skeet fields. They were setting those bays up for a big match this week...

TP9SFX with Freedomsmith Trigger Range Day!

First Range day since I installed the Fat Daddy trigger. Beautiful amost 80 degree Georgia day in February :o I took over a bay and put up some targets with hard cover painted to work on more precise shot placement. Black areas represent a wall or body armor and hits there do not score. I shot 100 r...

Re: Standard TP9SFX Magazine Base Plates

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions.
I have been using a Beretta 92 base on one mag and it seems to be working.
I shot one match with a magazine with a CZ base plate but today at the range it came off and dumped all my rounds on the ground.
Anxious to hear how the ebay ones work.

Standard TP9SFX Magazine Base Plates

I have Googled and searcher here with no luck.

I need some standard magazine base plates? The +2 it comes with are two big for some competitions.

Any help on finding some standard OEM bases like on the 17 Rd Magazines? I don't need any $20 aluminum ones, just stock!

Thanks!

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

I guess I just got lucky. I put mine in a few minutes ago and did a hundred dry fires and resets and all seems to be well. I hope to get some range time this week. https://i.ibb.co/5Y3mWpz/Canik-Freedomsmith-RH.jpg Notice the gap at the rear of the safety clearly showing clearance to the frame. Min...

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

Fat Daddy, I really debated and searched and read all I could and decided to go with the FD as mostly what I wanted is a wider, flat trigger with shorter take up and reset.
So far in dry fire, I have not had a problem hitting the trigger safety and I have smaller hands.
