Re: How's your gun purchases with the ammo shortage?

I really don't need anything right now. I have plenty of serious guns and toys. I have two SFX's , Two 1911's 4 Glocks, 7 revolvers, 3 AR's and a bunch of other stuff. Before all the madness I was wanting to get back into the AK47 but with ammo prices the way they are I will wait on that. Small prim...

A few weeks ago I met two guys that I normally shoot matches with at the outdoor range for some practice. I loaded eight rounds of SNC coated bullets loaded with W231 and eight loaded with Sport Pistol. I gave my SFX to one of the guys and told him to just shoot them into the berm in a steady rate a...

I have a good many loaded rounds but I shoot them pretty quick. I had 3000 Federal SP primers left. I remarked at the indoor match the other night I had checked the 8 or 9 normal online places I buy from and none to be found. One of the regulars said he was well stocked and would let me have 5000 fo...

I am in good shape on ammo, relatively speaking! But I shoot matches and average 7-800 rounds per month including some practice. I can get coated bullets fairly easily but jacketed and plated are hard as heck to find. I have 4000 ordered from RMR with a 6=8 week possible delivery and some from Xtrem...

I have shot several thousands of the Everglades JHP bullets and I really like them.
I have never done any expansion tests but they are an accurate bullet and look well designed. I don't doubt they would perform well as far as expansion!

https://i.imgur.com/ecRsnR9l.jpg I carry a Sig 365 about 80% of the time and the rest I carry this 3" Kimber 9mm. It is a sweet shooter and I don't feel ill prepared with 25 rounds on my person! Single stacks like this are quick into action if carried cocked and locked , conceals easily and it...

Adding to the pain is reloading components are just as hard to find.
I am in good shape but went looking for some 124 fmj or jhp bullets and I checked nine different usually reliable places and none are in stock.

They are very popular. A small percentage of people add a suppressor and probably a few more add a compensator but it is 9mm :-D I don't like the looks of them and have never owned one and probably won't but they sell a whole bunch of them and aftermarket threaded barrels too so I am obviously in th...

A friend of mine actually videoed me shooting the kneeling stage. He used his phone and it looks jittery.

I have never had a self filming camera myself, thought about it but never did anything about it.

First outdoor match since all this madness started. I helped set it up on Saturday and since it was very hot and we were expecting a small crowd we decided to not use any pneumatic movers and just run everything static and add more steel! We did use two cars to shoot around, thankfully not from insi...

If I could buy them locally I would use Xtreme bullets. I shot many thousands of them at one time and never had any problems with them and they usually had a discount or free shipping deal going. They had some problems, shipping time got crazy and unreliable, I hope they have it fixed by now. I swit...

Several of the gun magazines I subscribe to had good reviews of the G3.
It said they made some improvements.

It may be a viable pistol for someone who needs a pistol to protect their home and are on a type budget!

I have a Glock 40 in 10m with Red Dot and light that I pester hogs with here in Georgia.
I also have a Glock 29 I carry as a woods walking gun and CCW to and from the woods.
I have always reloaded so 10mm is cheap to shoot.

The worst gun I ever bought was not terrible. just not for me! After carrying a Kel-Tec P32 in my pocket for years I bought a PF-9 in 9mm. It was basically a woods carry gun and to have it with me when going hunting or fishing in the wee hours of the morning and night. It was very reliable and never...

They are great guns. I have been shooting and carrying one since they first came out and have had zero problems with it. I did recently find the XL frame module for $34 so I swapped the frame and I like it even better. More to grip at the range and a beavertail. 12 round flush mag for 12+1 and littl...

SwampFox is taking orders for Liberty and Justice. Red Dots, one with a regular window and one with a larger window. Both are shake awake.
May be a good option. I wish it was more than 3 moa dot though!

Olight sent me a new spacer that goes in the light base for picatinny! I cut it down to fit the Canik perfectly. I think I had to give the Canik rail a few light strokes with a file and now my Valkrie fits great!
