Re: TP9 Mag Base plate lock

I’d like to know the same. I bought the base plates off of eBay to convert my 20rd mags to 18 and the 20rd metal locking plate doesn’t work with a flat base plate

Re: Freedomsmith trigger = light strikes

I have no idea if this helps or not but I put about 50 rounds through my SFX saturday and decided to clean it just for fun. I pulled out the firing pin and cleaned the area when it is housed with hoppes and a q tip. I pulled out several metal shavings (10ish). That can't be good. Maybe you have some...

https://i.ibb.co/b7559RZ/23-D95-AEB-947-F-42-C7-8-CD5-9141-E8-B9-ABD4.jpg . Went to the range over the weekend and the Ruger did well. 40 year old Remington, Blazzer, CCI ammo - no problem. One fail to eject on Aquila. Winchester 14xx FPS ran fine and was obviously hotter than the other stuff. So f...

Re: Good set of punches

Cut 1/2" off of a large paperclip and bend a slight curve in it. It's the perfect diameter. Hold it with a needle nose and tap lightly and the pin will pop right out

Re: Canik TP9SA, SF, V2 18 rd mags for $19.95

Man, it seems like more and more the shipping ruins what seems like a good deal for me. I get all excited about a deal on a gun or something and proceed to checkout and they want something crazy for shipping. Buyer beware I guess.

Do they come with the male lock plate that fits just above the base plate?

Re: Truck Gun

As a kid on the farm, there was usually a single shot 12ga and a 22lr in the back window of the pickup (A "truck" was 2 ton or greater...lol) and a machete in a leather sheath behind the seat. Non of these things were for personal protection. The pickup was never locked even when we went to town and...

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

I agree with eight. It’s interesting that they think you can adjust the pre travel by removing material on the front. I tried this first and found out after removing a small amount of material that the linkage is what stops forward travel, not contact of the trigger with the frame opening.

Re: Favorite 22LR and why.

Thanks so much! Keep it coming! Good advice to buy a variety to test first (and good excuse to shoot). 5000 round buy right off was exaggeration on my part. My 10/22 from the mid 1980's seems to fire any old thing. I think I still have some old 22 Remington lead from the 80's lol. You know, some onl...

Favorite 22LR and why.

Morning all. I have a Ruger Mark IV on the way to use for general cheap practice, fun plinking and to someday introduce shooting to my grandsons. Back when I was a kid, dad picked up whatever the hardware store had on the shelf and we shot it. Today there are tons of options not limited to lead, cop...

Re: Smith & Wesson SW22 Victory

After trying both at the range the other day, I ordered a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Tactical. Both guns stumbled equally regarding failure to feed/eject. I wear a large glove and thought that the victory felt too small in my hand and I also had more trouble keeping the safety off while shooting on the Vic...

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

The following is a quote directly from Freedomsmith's web site regarding installation. The message is clear to me. If they want to check their quality control, they can pull some off of the shelf and install them in various guns. No need to send stuff back and forth unless the trigger has an obvious...

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

Which works perfectly...........until they check your gun before shooting USPSA or IDPA lol. Also, to be fair to Freedomsmith, they do warn that tuning may be required so fore warned is fore armed.

Re: Tuning Freedomsmith Trigger

This was actually a factor on the gun I ordered today. After a trip to the range last night to rent both the Elite and M&P 9c 2.0 with 4" barrel, I ordered the M&P today. I knew I would be tempted to upgrade the trigger at some point and because of my experience with the SFX and Freedomsmith and my ...
