Re: Thoughts on new forum styling

It may be because there is work being performed, but it keeps switching between light and dark mode own? I hope I am wording this clearly - when I go into a specific forum and look at topics, I no longer see the create date of posts like I used to. I see the last reply dates on the right, but not th...

On another note, I suggest carefully studying each company's caps, and how far they'll carry you into civil trial expenses.

Re: Ammo Question and Recommendations

Defensive rounds - as Janik said, Speer Gold Dot. Hornady Critical Defense is another well respected choice for "short" barrel personal defense. If these two are good enough for LE, then that says it all right there. I use Black Hills Honey Badger, however. I too own and carry an Elite. Gr...

Re: Shameless self promoting:-)

For my Non-NRA Instructor Basic Pistol classes, I used the NRA Basic Pistol Power Point as my "go-to", extracting and arranging in my desired order, and created and added my own slides into the mix. Of course, I had to tag the disclaimer that "this is NOT an NRA certified course"...

Oh man, that's a great find considering I can't even get 200 rounds for that much after tax and shipping!

Re: Dry Fire New SC

Hey Moe!
I use Tipton snap caps for all of my calibers.
I use them when I dry fire so I can see the rounds when I press check, tap-rack-assess, etc. I just prefer using them vs. an empty gun & mag.

They really are. Shooting my DA, Elite, and wife's SC, I trust them completely for indoor & outdoor protection.

I always use snap caps while I dry-fire, as it allows me to practice failures & reloads ;-)

Re: TP9SF Elite

I agree, while the provided holster was a POS with my Elite a couple of years back, rub marks and wear are almost inevitable if you do a lot of holster draw/reholster dry fire, and range work. I have a Red X, which is great, but with the amount of draw/reholster reps I do at home and at the range, r...

Re: How's your gun purchases with the ammo shortage?

Love my M9 22LR  Been looking online of late for a Taurus TX22, but can't find one. Ammo - I've learned my lesson through this Scamdemic....when things come back to some sense of normality I'm going to buy a safe, and stockpile ammo in it until the door has a hard time closing. Still shoot, bu...

Re: TP9SF Elite

It is a NATO standard gun, so it certainly can use NATO ammo. Many of us have run a box or two through new Elite's to loosen up the stiff factory RSA.

Re: SFX vs SF Elite?

As an owner of the Elite, and one who uses it as a larger EDC, I can vouch that it is a fine shooter. I replaced the sights with Night Fision sights, but the rest is stock, and is fantastic as is. Good hand-to-gun fit, great trigger and reset, full ambi-controls (i'm a lefty, so this was important),...

Type 3 Malfunction Round

For those of you serious about practicing a Type 3 failure during your live fire regiments, there is dummy round you can mix in with your live rounds that will cause the failure. We are now using these in our defensive handgun classes, and they work great. Have someone else load your mag so it's a s...

Re: Lessons from Real Life Shootings

Sad to say, but even if this does go down as justified, will anyone care, will it make a difference in their minds? Most likely not, and that saddens me just as much as the ridiculous mayhem that ensues after these incidents.

My LGS ordered it back in February for 369 (tax, FFL fee included).

I've been looking for another Blackout version for a few weeks, no luck.
