Re: Low/Med/High compressed ready positions question

GlennSFX - Thanks. Indeed that is what I am doing, a lot of draw practice in front of a mirror with proper technique taught to me by an NRA instructor at my LGS. I am using an OWB, Clinger Ultra Conceal, and have purchased and practice in an assortment of shirts and jackets. LGamm hit on my question...

Low/Med/High compressed ready positions question

Good evening all, I spend a great deal of time practicing at home; dry fire drills, stance/grip/sight/trigger pull; holster draw drills, etc. My question is specific to low compressed ready position - when is this position most practical in a self-defense situation? I ask because when I do my holste...

Re: .45 Love.

That Kimber quite the looker. It's one of those guns that has all the right looks to me, with regards to a classy .45. I've had my eye on a Thompson Custom 1911, and would enjoy reading any comments on this gun - another, that I just can't stop staring at! https://i.ibb.co/qDL4TnN/thompson-custom-19...

Re: Improving my techniques...a journey

I am nowhere near the "PRO" level that some of these above guys are. My instructor really has me focusing on level two and three failures at this moment. Level three being pretty tough, because it seems I have to pull the mags out each time. I load one snapcap into the chamber, and one into a mag, a...

TP9 SF Elite Cleaning Mat

Thought I'd show you what one of Mike's cleaning mats looks like. Very nice. Looks so nice, I may not use it, and frame it and hang it in my gun cleaning room! :-D

Re: TP9SA Mod 2 Light Mount issue

I have the issue on my DA as well, with the Olight PL-Mini, so I just leave off the little plate that fits in the recess, and snap it into the rail. It is pretty snug, and I am not holstering this gun on the regular (nightstand gun), so not worried. I have not knocked it off yet with all the dry fir...

It boggles my mind how many new members mention that they have or are waiting for the SFX.

Got my shipping order conformation today for some new gear I ordered. Excited to show it off at the range, hopefully Friday.
Amazing how the word "Canik" gets so much attention wherever I wear the shirts. :-D

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Thanks Badgerboy, the B6C is a nice looking gun, though I'd like the option to mount a light/laser if I choose to down the road.

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Thanks for the info. That is a bit high, I agree. $500 or under would much better fit my pocket book. I'd been looking at the Beretta APX Compact & the M&P 2.0 Compact prior to hearing of the Sub Elite, both reasonably priced, and Beretta has a $75 rebate/gift card (pre-paid charge card) offer until...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

It does take some of the charm off the natural design of the gun, but I understand the tactical need.
There still isn't much new info on the internet; has anyone seen/heard any further info on possible US pricing?

Re: Poor Ejection, Spring/rod upgrade

They responded very quickly for me, and others on the forum, and I had mine within 5 days for my Elite.
I still the have the old one, and am tempted to swap it in to feel the difference, but am in such a shooting "groove" that I don't want ruin the juju!

Re: Federal Ammo vs Fiocchi

If I had to rate my shooting accuracy, the Fiocchi 124gr FMJ's have been at the top for me along with Speer Lawman. Tight groups at 7, 8, 10 yards, which is where I do most of my shooting drills. Not one failure with the hundreds of Fiocchi rounds shot through my Elite and DA. Plus, can't beat the p...

Re: holsters

I'll admit freely I am only on my first holster, the Clinger "V3 Ultra-Conceal OWB", but I am really diggin' it. Clinger isn't lying when they say it and the "No Print Wonder" really tuck and conform the gun to the curve of your waist. I was concerned about many of the shirts I have, but now I see t...

Re: Weapon lights

Trying to explain more specifically, the adapter doesn't sit flush into that first row behind the muzzle under the rail on the DA, so I can't get the right side of the lights mount to grab the rail. Snug as a bug on the other two guns. Odd. What is the purpose of the adapter - simply for a flush, ti...

I mentioned I'd shout back after receiving my Olight. I entered this in another post here, sorry for the duplicate: "I received my Olight in the mail today, but after swapping the Picatinny adapter in, I can't get it to mount on the DA? It slides right on the Elite, and on my wife's VP9, but that fi...

Re: New truck and house gun.

I received my Olight in the mail today, but after swapping the Picatinny adapter in, I can't get it to mount on the DA? It slides right on the Elite, and on my wife's VP9, but that first slot on the DA seems off. Did yours mount right up to your DA without hassle? I wound up taking off the adapter, ...
