My EDC is a NRA edition P365 it had a few issues when new that were caused by the striker channel being shipped packed with grease and metal shavings but after a good cleaning it runs 100%. The good news is P365 prices are coming down I picked a second one a standard model for a family member at a g...
I have a NRA edition p365 that I've been trying to warm up to for the last 3 or 4 months and it isn't working out the way I hoped it would. So when my local range had a Sig demo day this Friday and Sat. I gave the P365 SAS a try along side my own p365 and I came away unimpressed the SAS is snag free...
In the winter months when I wear a jacket or coat I carry a XD mod 2 3.3" 45 auto and in the spring and summer months it's a CZ Rami BD or Sig p938. I had planed on making my new NRA edition Sig p365 with a 12+1 magazine an EDC pistol but it has had a few issues that worry me.
It's hard to beat a good lever gun my truck gun is a Winchester 44 mag. trapper with a 16" barrel I also have a Ruger 44 mag. carbine that I love but it's value has gone up to where it's kept in my safe.
I have owned many 1911's in my +70 years and they are fine guns but all needed some TLC I still own a 30 year old colt that I'll never part with. I must admit I love the old Colt and it's 2 1/2 lb. trigger but my CZ 97 is softer shooting and just as accurate.
In the mid 1970's I bought a new Llama 357 mag. revolver it looked like a S&W model 27 in less than 50 rounds the frame cracked and the barrel about fell off. The dealer I bought it from had 6 of them and 4 of them were returned with cracked frames.
I have been reloading for over 40 years and have several Dillion machines most were bought used and have Lee die's in them. I don't care what brand of dies you have the only die that wears out is the sizing die and when I need one I'll buy a Lee.
When the weather is warm it's a toss up between my Sig P938 and my CZ Rami bd with one extra mag. loaded with 124 gr. Gold Dot +P's In cooler months when a coat is required I carry a XD mod 2 3.3" 45 auto with a spare 13 round mag. loaded with 230 gr. Gold Dots with a mounted O-light pl mini 2. Arou...
Until about a year ago my 20 year old Colt Custom Gov. model was my favorite 45 auto pistol then I found a CZ 97 BD. WOW it has to be the softest shooting most accurate full size pistol on the planet. Just about any 200 gr bullet over 5.2 gr of 231 will shoot to 3/4" at 10 yards and the recoil feels...
I've been using the DVC product for about a month I clean about 25 pounds of brass in each load and have found I can clean two batch's before changing the DVC cleaner. What I find strange about the stuff is when I use dish soap the water is always black and nasty what I pour off after using the DVC ...
I don't know any volume shooter that deprime pistol brass before cleaning. I wet tumble 22 to 25 pounds per load W/O the steel pins then dry it in a large food dehydrator.
It has to be my S&W model 41 I have a 7" barrel with iron sights and a 5" bull barrel with red dot it's never failed me in the 20+ years I've owned it. The grip angle and weight of the pistol reminds me of a 1911 plus it's the most accurate 22 pistol I've ever shot. It will only shoot quality ammo s...
The Dillon machine was a good choice many years ago when I had a FFL 06 license to manufacture ammo I ran a couple Dillon 650's for small custom jobs. We had very few problems with the 650's and when we need parts they were free and shipped fast. One thing I remember about the 650 is the powder meas...
Sounds like the round was out of spec ( too long) to chamber the bullet stuck in the rifling and when you did get the slide to open the bullet was pulled from the case. Did you remove the magazine before removing the stuck cartridge ? if so the powder was lost down the mag well. I've been shooting a...
The same thing happen to me I replaced the trigger with a Fat Daddy and have fired several thousand problem free rounds. Even the slightest side pressure and I could feel a bump in my factory trigger and with a little more pressure it would lock up.
I found a real gem of a revolver it's a S&W K-22 Masterpiece in it's factory gold and blue box with a low 4 digit SN made in April of 1947. After a over night bath in mineral spirits and a good cleaning it looks real good with about 85% to 90% of it's factory finish all numbers match even the grips ...
In warm weather under a light weight loose shirt my EDC is a CZ Rami BD 9mm 10+1 124gr gold dot +P. In the winter months it's my Springfield XD mod 2 3.3" 45 acp 9+1 loaded with 230gr gold dots. I've been shooting for many years and carrying for 20 years going from DA/SA hammer fired to SA striker f...
