Re: Reloading with best Dies

I have been reloading for over 40 years and have several Dillion machines most were bought used and have Lee die's in them. I don't care what brand of dies you have the only die that wears out is the sizing die and when I need one I'll buy a Lee.

Re: What handgun do you EDC the most?

When the weather is warm it's a toss up between my Sig P938 and my CZ Rami bd with one extra mag. loaded with 124 gr. Gold Dot +P's In cooler months when a coat is required I carry a XD mod 2 3.3" 45 auto with a spare 13 round mag. loaded with 230 gr. Gold Dots with a mounted O-light pl mini 2. Arou...

Re: .45 Love.

Until about a year ago my 20 year old Colt Custom Gov. model was my favorite 45 auto pistol then I found a CZ 97 BD. WOW it has to be the softest shooting most accurate full size pistol on the planet. Just about any 200 gr bullet over 5.2 gr of 231 will shoot to 3/4" at 10 yards and the recoil feels...

Re: Clean your Brass in 10 Minutes

I've been using the DVC product for about a month I clean about 25 pounds of brass in each load and have found I can clean two batch's before changing the DVC cleaner. What I find strange about the stuff is when I use dish soap the water is always black and nasty what I pour off after using the DVC ...

Re: Who "Deprimes" before Cleaning?

I don't know any volume shooter that deprime pistol brass before cleaning. I wet tumble 22 to 25 pounds per load W/O the steel pins then dry it in a large food dehydrator.

Re: Favorite 22LR and why.

It has to be my S&W model 41 I have a 7" barrel with iron sights and a 5" bull barrel with red dot it's never failed me in the 20+ years I've owned it. The grip angle and weight of the pistol reminds me of a 1911 plus it's the most accurate 22 pistol I've ever shot. It will only shoot quality ammo s...

Re: Flashlight and sfx

Try O-lights new PL mini 2 it's clamp is adjustable I bought mine for the short 1 1/2" rail on my XD mod 2 3.3" 45 acp It fits every pistol I own with a rail except the Sig 365. I also like the feature where you push down on the buttons to turn it on and off no way for it to be turned on in your hol...

Re: My Super 650 Dillon Build

The Dillon machine was a good choice many years ago when I had a FFL 06 license to manufacture ammo I ran a couple Dillon 650's for small custom jobs. We had very few problems with the 650's and when we need parts they were free and shipped fast. One thing I remember about the 650 is the powder meas...

Re: Explain This One??????

Sounds like the round was out of spec ( too long) to chamber the bullet stuck in the rifling and when you did get the slide to open the bullet was pulled from the case. Did you remove the magazine before removing the stuck cartridge ? if so the powder was lost down the mag well. I've been shooting a...

Re: New SFx and my first impressions on shooting it.

The same thing happen to me I replaced the trigger with a Fat Daddy and have fired several thousand problem free rounds. Even the slightest side pressure and I could feel a bump in my factory trigger and with a little more pressure it would lock up.

Lucky find

I found a real gem of a revolver it's a S&W K-22 Masterpiece in it's factory gold and blue box with a low 4 digit SN made in April of 1947. After a over night bath in mineral spirits and a good cleaning it looks real good with about 85% to 90% of it's factory finish all numbers match even the grips ...

Re: What handgun do you EDC the most?

In warm weather under a light weight loose shirt my EDC is a CZ Rami BD 9mm 10+1 124gr gold dot +P. In the winter months it's my Springfield XD mod 2 3.3" 45 acp 9+1 loaded with 230gr gold dots. I've been shooting for many years and carrying for 20 years going from DA/SA hammer fired to SA striker f...

Re: Metal Injection Molding (MIM) discussion

My first 357 revolver a Colt trooper had a mim hammer it broke after a few hundred rounds and after breaking a second hammer the Colt was replaced with a Smith and Wesson. The S&W is now over 25 years old and still going strong no broken parts. Now days modern striker fired pistols are full of mim p...

My month old TP9SFX is my newest range toy with just over 1200 rounds fired it's fun fast and very accurate. The FX is my only center fire pistol with a red dot I had a Glock mos but just didn't like it I nicknamed it my Glock pos. The new FX holds it own with pistols costing 2 or 3 times as much al...

Re: Your First Canik

I wanted a red dot ready pistol for teaching my grandkids I bought a Glock MOS first and it tuned out to be a POS. After reading mostly good reviews on Canik I pulled the trigger added a 3moa vortex and fat daddy trigger and saved a bunch of money. I am mostly old school shooting D/A revolvers and S...

Re: Striker or Hammer for Conceal Carry?

I had gen 2 and 3 glock 19's that I loved when the gen 4 MOS came out I had to have one. Changes were made with the trigger bar and firing pin safety plunger that made it just feel wrong. Plus the second or third time I took it to the range I had a slam fire so the POS went back to Glock and was ret...
