Re: SFx with 6moa.

The desert tan usually runs $50 to $100 more than the others. This is a good deal. Too bad I already have one. It would go good with my desert tan SF.

Re: Military Roll Call

Which ships were you on? First ship - The Mighty Beauford ATS-2 Stationed in Sasebo Japan(Southern end). It was an ocean going tug boat / salvage ship. It could tow and aircraft carrier. I think it actually did in the Gulf before I got there. Brought her home and Decommed in Pearl Harbor. Had the r...

Re: Military Roll Call

Ok LT USN (Ret.) I'm IN. ET2 here. 92-98. 2 years of intense electronics school and off to Japan for a few years of constant deployments. I think we were away from home port 70% of the time. We hit all the ports you could hope for (and some you didn't). "Crossed the line" more than a few times :AR! ...

Re: Hello from Colorado!!

Welcome JP357.

Co is a great place. Lived in Denver and Co Springs for a week each about 40 years ago. Been to Denver area for a week for work the last two years. Not sure what it is with me only spending a week there.

Don't think I could deal with the monster hail storms.

Stay safe.

A laser on a red dot? You're kind of a belt and suspenders type of guy? Well my forum name is Gadget Guy. :-BD I got a great deal on it. Wanted to see if it would be a good counterweight too. Unfortunately the picatinny rail adapter does not fit. The slots in the rail on both my guns are too shallo...

Next time it happens and you run in to someone as you run out, just tell the other person that today you identify as a woman and this is your safe space.

Could pickup a Sharpie paint stick. Not sure of color choices but White would show well.
I was just thinking about the paint stick route also. White would work well. Just need to keep the paint from drying out.

Re: Firearms want list...

Colt snake guns are a whole different world. Wish I could afford one. Aquired my 2.5 nickel python about 15 years ago cost me $750 and a 10/22 and accessories.. At the time I think they were selling for 1200-1300, looks like now more like $2000. And up! Yep. Depending on the mfg year, condition and...

Typical results. Brutal on the hands. Shooting 38 specials are more enjoyable in a 357 revolver.
I had no problem shooting my Colt Python. It had a much better grip. I liked that one. Easy shooting.

38 Specials were like throwing marshmallows.

Re: Firearms want list...

I shot a friends Taurus 357 something or other. Fun to shoot. But it just hurt my hand too much to enjoy it for more than a few cylinders. I found the grip was too narrow and really dug in to my palm. Don't know if he ever got a better grip.

Re: New Elite-S missing striker indicator paint

Well I guess I'll see you at Wally World. I just checked the art supplies. No white and all other colors are too dark/muted.

Some white out might work too. I've done it to front sights that had no color. Not sure about the longevity of it on a firing pin though.

Re: New Elite-S missing striker indicator paint

Welcome the the forum. Have you been to the New member section to make a proper intro? Mine actually rubbed off on my SF while cleaning one day. It is still black. I keep meaning to fix that. I'm going to try some nail polish. I'll have to see what "the boss" has for available colors. I was thinking...

I keep looking at this adapter and can’t help to think about sight radius. There really isn’t any. I thought the same thing. I was also thinking that it will also raise the optic even more. It sits on top of the slide, the the optic on top of that. How high is too high? If you want to co witness th...

Re: Firearms want list...

So many guns, so little space to write about it. 357 wheel gun is the intrigue of the week. I had a snub nose Colt Python for about a year. Found in the back corner of a pawn shop. loved to shoot it. Hardly any recoil for a 357. Well balanced. Felt nice in the hands. Very accurate. It was born in 1...
