Re: Gun goes click but no bang sometimes

Sorry to hear. Mine is pretty random and didn't start until close to around 3k rounds. Since first post I've probably shot about 500 more and it's maybe happened twice. Lost bullet after racking slide so never was able to check for strike. Call canik. They have good customer service. I called for a ...

Re: Guide rod for TP9SFX

I purchased the glock 34 extended tungsten guide rod. Is the gen 3 to gen 4 adapter necessary? Can I use 1911 full size recoil Springs with it? I also purchased a tungsten fat guide rod for my Sig p320 x5, will it work on the tp9sfx? I'm kind of in the same boat. Trying to figure out right guide ro...

Re: Springco email.

Sent an email to sprico just to get an idea. Basically sounded like easily a month. Something like 300+ orders and no product in stock until this time next month. Filling 30 a day after product ships...... That stinks...ill give them a shot because they have good reviews and they were nice enough to...

Re: Springer p320 guide rod and springs for sfx

Nope. Just had an extra p320 guide rod laying around so I thought I'd try it out. Way to much effort compared to p320. I just went ahead and ordered a sprico for the walther q5 with the whitespring. I'll pair that with the 6.5 striker spring when they get here and report back. I use this for carry o...

Re: Springer p320 guide rod and springs for sfx

Thanks. The p320 guide rod is a lot longer. The Wolff springs were for a 5 inch 1911 but they must be too long. Tried installing but the guide rod wouldn't set correctly. I may chop a few coils off and see if that works.

Springer p320 guide rod and springs for sfx

I have a Springer full size p320 guide rod and some 1911 springs laying around. From reading it seems like I should be fine putting it in my sfx as long as springs aren't too long. Pretty sure they are for a full size 1911. Any suggestions, issues, tips anyone had before I try it out? Currently have...

Smaller slide stop

Hi all. I ride kinda high on slide with all my handguns. It's not a huge issue but I do occasionally end up holding the slide stop down quite a bit on the sfx. It also has a tendency to rub my support hand some. Anyone know of an aftermarket replacement or can share some suggestions/tips on trimming...

Re: Gun goes click but no bang sometimes

I honestly don't remember seeing any indents on primer but I can't say I really checked since it cleared up and started firing fine. Even had range officer take a look and we took down slide. Nothing stuck out as odd and fired fine after putting it back together. Happened with both original trigger...

Gun goes click but no bang sometimes

Noticed an issue in my sfx recently at about the 3000 round mark. A few times recently my sfx will chamber a round, indicate its cocked and ready but when I pull the trigger no bang. Everythi g sounds and feels fine but it just doesn't shoot. Happened once or twice with factory trigger show and once...

Thanks. Won't mess with it then.

Did you happen to use blue locktight on tour plates and optic screws?

Spring selection with red dot attached.

Should I think about switching recoil or striker spring if adding vortex optic? Though pretty light, would it add enough weight for one to consider spring changes? After adding the fat daddy trigger I'm satisfied with the weight of trigger pull etc. Fine with the reduced recoil spring century sent m...

Re: Sfx weak ejections

The reduced spring didn't do a whole lot to improve the ejection. I haven't had one failure in close to 2000 rounds with either spring though. Have gone through 115, 124 and 147 grain. The new spring helped some but I would still consider the ejection weak. Y ou may also want to look into some other...

Re: Apex Tactical Walther PPQ Flat Face Trigger

I've got an apex ppq trigger on a broken frame. Interested in trying it out based on this. When you mentioned having to tweak the trigger what do you mean? Did it for no issue or did you have to modify in some way?

Fiber optic front sight replacement

Hello all. I'm trying to find a front sight fiber optic replacement on my sfx that allows for a little larger fiber optic. There's the Warren tactical one, but I've heard m@p front sights for fine. The m&p dawson precision look to give more options as far as f.o. sizes but when they are asking for t...

2 gun competition report

Wanted to give an update on my sfx in it first competition. More than pleased with its performance. Just a friendly 2 gun match at a sportsman club, but man it held its own. Not a single issue and I think I missed a steel target twice out of about 16 of them over 4 stages running the fiber optic sig...

Re: Excessive residue buildup on hand

Hopefully they attached. I'm not too worried about the barrel. It's not taking anything off other than the finish. Still seems pretty fast for 600. I would say the severity of it is less now than first few hundred. That's when it really started coming off. Again not a huge deal. Half thinking about ...

Excessive residue buildup on hand

Recently gotten a sfx and while I've had no issues 600 rounds I've noticed an unusual amount of residue buildup on my stronghand after shooting. Out of all the handguns I've shot I've never remembered seeing this before. Almost looks like flakes or shavings. Assuming it's just the debris from round ...

Re: PPQ firing pin

Would the pin in a 4 inch ppq m2 work in sfx and does anyone know if the spring is lighter in ppq striker spring than the stock sfx one?
