Re: Slide assist

Frank, the TK Halo is exactly what popped into my head. The SFx would also let you use the threaded holes for the factory slide assist as well as a cross bolt like the Halo.

I'm a Patreon supporter of both Gun Jesus and his buddy Karl. Ian never disappoints. BTW, that would be Forgotten Weapons and In Range TV for your viewing pleasure.

Re: Basic Tools Loadout for Beginner

A decent screwdriver/bit set is very handy. The 43 piece Wheeler set looks good for starters. Something some of us need is a good magnifying light as well.

Re: Ever need to drill out roll pin?

The only time I had to drill out a roll pin, it took a carbide bit to do it. A cobalt bit literally wouldn't cut it. You definitely need a drill press/mill if you're going to do that. Small carbide bits are unforgiving of any side stress.

John_
That's exactly what I ended up doing with an 1/8 carbide burr bit after spending too much time messing with bent punches.

Re: SFX Rear Sight Adjustmenet

You can also use "poor man's Kroil". A 50/50 mix by volume of ATF fluid and acetone. I've always drifted sights with a brass punch and small hammer.
