Re: TP9SFX Mag Release Button IDPA SSP

8.2.1.2-C should get you by. Sadly, many IDPA rules are poorly written and are open to multiple interpretations. 8.2.1.3-B specifically excludes aftermarket mag releases, but if you use the short version it shouldn't be an issue. Further, unless you smoke everybody, no one is going to care. If you'r...

Re: picatinney optics mount

Also be aware that if you decide to compete in a USPSA match, using a underside pic rail mount puts you into Open class with the hot-rod guns. Carry Optics class requires the dot to be slide mounted.

Re: Sfx groupings

A couple months ago at a USPSA match I had a couple of mikes (misses) and a few more D's than I would normally have. Surely the dot had lost its normal aim point, or the new gallant rounds I'd loaded were inconsistent. Or both. I went to the range the following week with a lead-shot bag and rounds f...

Re: Taurus Spectrum

I can only relate my personal experience having owned both the LCP and the Spectrum. I had the LCP and hated to shoot the darned thing.. I couldn't get past about 30 - 40 rounds without my hand just hurting.... I gave it away as a birthday present to my Pastor so I didn't have a BUG gun... I decide...

Re: Favorite 22LR and why.

CCI produced a polymer coated round last year that has become my favorite. Why? It's super clean. The action , breech, muzzle, bore, and compensator are amazingly cleaner after a long day of shooting then would be with normal exposed lead ammo. I'm so impressed I'm on my second box of 3k rounds. Tar...

Re: ACME Bullets 20% Discount Code...UPDATE!

I've tried acme 135s and 147s, Gallant 147, and Bayou 145. Of those, the Acme 135 is by far the best performing in my SFx.

Re: Can anybody explain to me why......

Because selling little items like this are more of a hassle than a money maker. A two-pack doubles gross dollars, and the high shipping and handling covers the ordering, inventory, packaging, whiners, returns, and actual freight, of something they would rather not sell anyway. Most companies know wh...

Re: This sure is tempting me

I was lusting after the Girsan.... instead I decided to get a SFX.... Smart move. I'm not adding to my collection anymore, only replacing.... I have to sell one to get one.... That's a really great idea......unfortunately hard to do in practice..... :? I do need to thin out my AR's though. Last cou...

Re: TP9SFX Plunk test

As Tejas mentioned, it's totally, totally, dependant on bullet grain and profile. Acme 147 RNFP will plunk easily at 1.160, as they are very arrow shaped, but that length is getting iffy with consistent feeding inside the magazine; any longer than that they bind up. 1.150" is rock steady. Gallant 14...

Re: Ultrasonic cleaning of firearms

I was debating getting one of these to thoroughly clean the SFX frame. Plan was to take it down as if swapping the trigger, removing the "Locking Block", "Trigger/Bar Assembly" and the "Ejector Block" with the sear components, and cleaning them separately in the ultrasonic cleaner. Once clean, remo...

Re: "Worst gun I ever bought was..."

Mossberg 715T .22lr rifle. At a glance it looks like an AR, but it's most definitely not. It was a Jam-o-matic. Horribly finicky on ammo; it would only cycle the slide with the most powerful hv ammo. And oh, so miserable to clean. You had to remove about 12 tiny screws to get it apart. Just an all a...

Re: PT9SFX and IDPA

You are correct. The SFx uses an 18+2 setup. It's legal in USPSA/Steel Challenge, but will not fit the box for IDPA. The base plate can be changed to the 18 round version, but with pre-Christmas pricing you may be able to find complete 18 rnd mags cheap. IDPA rules are geared toward Defensive use (t...

Re: The Offical Red Dot Thread

FWIW, common foam shaving cream works as a great ant-fog for lenses. Put a dab on your fingers, rub it into a previously cleaned lens, then buff 'clean' with a soft cloth. Someone tipped me off to this a bijion years ago when racing enduro's. OK guys, edumacate me... how does using an optic on a car...

In my fantasy world, it's an STI DVC open gun, or similar.

In a more realistic world, a Ruger 10/22 Target Lite.

I think he was looking for full retail on each of those items. There is a couple extra magazines, the extended mag bases, and a belt.
Not seeing the value.

Congrats! Having a great finish sure takes some of the pain out of getting up at Oh-dark-thirty.

That club sure has some nice props. I'm pretty sure stage props like those are banned in the Southeast ;)

Edit/update:

Fyi, it's against the law to ship a pistol via USPS unless you have an FFL. You have to use UPS or FedEx and declare it.

You're right, that link I had from PSA was not an M2. My bad. The M2 is much nicer than the older version. My apologies.

I wanna know what the "fix" actually is before I send mine in. If it's an 'idiot with a hammer' scenario and Walther is going to install a F250 truck spring in the trigger, I'll skip it.

Btw, I love mine.

Re: SW22 Victory

The takedown screw on mine came loose the first couple outings, but after cleaning both the male and female threads, I've never had it come loose again. No way would I Loctite that, way too risky as McCanik discovered. https://thumb.ibb.co/jv1z8V/20181108-215655.jpg https://thumb.ibb.co/jmXjaA/20181...
