Re: Sub-Elite size comparison

I was looking at the SR9c as a CC piece a while back, but the ergonomics did not work for me. Only handled it once so far, but the SC feels much better in the hand. Loved the size though...

FYI, for anyone who is interested, the Handgunhero visual comparison site has the Sub Elite added to their listing:

Re: PC Carbine for Canik Mags

Yeah, the KelTec Sub2k has a model that will accept TP9-series mags. There is a multi-mag option, that lets you swap the catch for different model mags. Here's some info: https://www.mcarbo.com/kel-tec-sub-2000-multi-mag-options-explained.aspx Editing to add... That's the one on my short wish list. ...

Re: Anyone ever heard of Pastalaya?

Never realized it had a name, but I've eaten it plenty of times... I make a lot of rice dishes similar to that... Got creative one time and tried using pasta instead of rice and enjoyed it. I'll usually brown a little bit of bacon for some flavor, and use some Eckridge sausage (I like the spicier fo...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Went to a local gun show this afternoon, got to handle the Sub Elite, and really liked what I saw. Was comfortable and fit my hand well. Asking $379, but I'll wait for prices to drop (i.e., until I have more expendable funds) before buying, especially with Christmas and end-of-year expenses right ar...

Re: Sold My Sig Sauer SP2022, now what to buy

Beretta PX4 Storm Compact (not subcompact). Checks all the boxes! Actually, I've never fired a PX4, but always liked the aesthetics, comfortable grip, and the external hammer. I'm also intrigued by the rotary action instead of the tilt barrel. Never have bought one because it wouldn't fill a need, e...

Re: Prefered self defense carry rounds?

Several years ago, I did a lot of experimenting with the wet phone book/water jug media, and got some pretty opinionated thoughts. 1. Short-barrel 380 (LCP) Hornady Critical Defense or anything using their XTP bullet. These performed well in both types of media. As they don't expand as radically as ...

Re: Extra magazines

Best place to buy them would be to purchase a new SFx. That would include everything you need, including the two spare 20 round mags!

I've not looked lately, but I bought my extra mags from GrabaGun. They had decent prices at the time...

Re: Walmart will no longer sell handgun ammo

#-O

For two decades, they've been my go-to for ammo. And now, pointless, leftist political pandering. The only people who even care that Wal-Mart sells ammo are the ones who already shop at that other store, whose logo references a common item used in shooting sports.

Re: TP9 Sub Elite is almost here!

I'm not as enamored as I thought I would be with my new TP9sf Elite. Grip length is fine but the barrel/slide is one inch to long. YMMV ... And that's odd to me. I would be a lot more interested in a Sub-Elite size frame with an Elite-length slide. In my experience, the grip length is the most diff...

Re: S&W Shield or Sig P365

My experience with my .45ACP Shield was less than overwhelming. Had an issue where the trigger stop would get stuck with a live round chambered and the trigger in the rear position from the recoil. Did this on about every other round, had to ship it back to S&W with only 10 rounds fired through the ...

Re: Safariland 578 GLS for SFL

Also use the 578 GLS, compact size with my SFx. Fit is great, with the muzzle extending about an inch past the end of the holster. Fits my Taurus G2C perfectly as well, with no adjustments needed. I'm very happy with mine; it's a much higher quality product than the bundled SFx holster. Not great fo...
