Re: Good deal

As a Morakniv owner, I can confirm that it is a scary sharp blade, makes a great bait/utility knife.

Re: What handgun do you EDC the most?

Depends on my mood but most commonly I carry my Taurus G2C. Especially since I found a real nice mag extension. Doesn't add rounds but adds about 1 1/4 to the length. Changes the feel of the gun dramatically Sometimes Ill carry my full size 1911. I'm a big guy 6'5" and 300 so I can hide a lot. Inte...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Not for the US, but here's a new listing for a Slovenian dealer:

https://www.365-plus.com/canik-tp9-sub-elite

Listed price equivalent to $583.98.

Sadly close to $600, much more expensive than the $370 my SFx cost. Unless they can lower the price for US sales, this loses a lot of its appeal.

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

I just stumbled upon this photo, of the Sub Elite alongside the SFx. https://imgrosetta-mynet-com-tr.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/imgrosetta.mynet.com.tr/file/10311001/640xauto.jpg I don't see the allure of taking such a svelte pistol and adding sitck a chunky weapon light. Keep it simple, keep it slick.

Re: Got my SFL

I don't think the SFL is supposed to have a fiber optic sight. I assume that was one of the cost cutting measures taken to differentiate it from the SFx. Looking at the various photos, none show a fiber on the SFL. My guess is that it's just a detail they missed when copying/pasting details from the...

Re: Jericho Full size and Compacts Good to VG Surplus $299

My Brother-in-law has the Jericho .45 ACP. That is the pistol that could convince me to jump on the CZ bandwagon. His father-in-law has the 9mm version, but I just really like how the .45 handles and shoots.

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Yeah, which I would have no intention of putting on a CC pistol. I haven't even seriously considered a RMR for my SFx, which, as a range pistol, is more suitable for customizing. I'm normally pretty happy to keep the factory sights on a handgun, except for the Heinie "Straight Eight” sight that was ...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

https://i.ibb.co/VTqRk6w/sub-elite.png Unlike some people, I don't necessarily like the squared off rear sight. I know it's allegedly to allow single-handed racking of the slide, but for a carry weapon, I prefer something a little more sleek. Also, again with the RMR; I like my defensive pistol to ...

What's your East Texas location? I'm Longview/Kilgore/Henderson area myself...

Also an SFx owner, and happy with mine...

Now, I'm curious about the "Used" band. Did you order the gun as new and got a used one???

Re: holsters

Not a fan of the holster that came bundled with my SFx. Nice idea in concept, but doesn't really work well. Big problem with the flex between the belt/paddle attachment, making the holster flop on your waist. Okay for some casual range use, but you will want to replace it if you intend to carry much...

Yes, we shot it from a rest again after making that adjustment and were drilling the bullseye. And yes, it really does look that wacky in person as well. Not sure if he would want to go to the trouble of contacting Springfield. He's not really a handgun shooter, and to tell the truth, will probably ...

Springfield XDe - sight adjustment results

I had mentioned my father-in-law's XDe previously. He had selected that firearm as a CCW, but could not shoot it well, and was always off target. My brother in law and I both shot the pistol from a rest and found that the pistol shot significantly to the left. They finally bought a sight pusher, and...

Re: Howdy from Houston, Texas

Hit up Wal Mart and grab a couple of the WWB 124 gr. NATO 150 rd bulk packs. The hotter ammo should break it in nicely. No input for the red dot though. I bought this one for some fun range shooting with the basic iron sights. I couldn't pass up the SFx at the price I found, and this way, I have the...
