Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

No experience using that particular loader, I'm a big fan of my UpLULA magazine loader though. Works so well I've never even bothered looking at other options... Granted, I bought mine several years ago, when they were much cheaper, IIRC...

Re: My First Canik

I wasn't a fan of the extended mag release... I tried installing the shortest button, still didn't like it, then removed that and just ran it without any of the buttons installed.

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Well, it looks like the OTHER handgun I was waiting for has finally started hitting the market... I've finally seen the Taurus 692 .357/9mm combo Tracker revolver available for purchase. That's been on my list since it was announced at SHOT show LAST year. And now, to keep this thread on topic: http...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

I'm assuming it must be assembled in the US then, from imported parts. My G2C is clearly stamped "Made in Brazil".

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

IIRC, the Bersa Thunder 380 gets some bonus points because it's a metal frame. The compact BP9CC is a poly framed 9mm though, and it's still made in Argentina. My G2C, in a similar sized package, is still made in Brazil. PPS is made in Germany... I think if Canik wanted to import this pistol, it cou...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Its not clear for U.S. market cause ones made in Turkey can't be imported into the U.S. they have to setup production in the U.S. if they want to sell it here. I don't see why it couldn't be made importable. Taurus, Bersa, and others import compact pistols. Add the Elite-S style safety to meet the ...

TP9 SFx Mod 2

I just found a photo of the Mod 2 version of the SFx, not sure if this has already been mentioned here... 1. Extended slide stop 2. Magwell 3. Re: Cheapest prices on mags?

Only bought one ProMag, for a Bersa Thunder 380, worked great, as a training aid for failure drills. Ended up with multiple jams per mag-full. OEM mag cycles 100%, never had a failure.

I'm hoping that holster would be a bit more functional than the one bundled with my SFx. Looked a bit loose and rattly in the video, but I also spotted what looked like a tensioning screw...

Take a look if you don't mind excessive hand gestures during your reviews!

Re: Taurus Spectrum

I really can't speak for the Nano, never having fired one, but I always thought it looked a bit top heavy. Not sure about what your intentions are, but if your are considering pocket carry: I own a PF9, and consider that to be borderline too big for pocket carry. Not so much the size, but the flatne...

Re: Cheapest prices on mags?

I've bought mine from Grab a Gun. They seem to have good prices consistently.

I don't bother even checking with Cheaper Than Dirt, they've been on my boycott list for a decade now, after their price gouging practices during the Obama administration.

Re: TP9SFX back strap size

The larger backstrap definitely makes a difference. It's not any thicker/wider, but makes the "hump" on the back of the grip higher. I installed the larger size on mine, and ran with it for a few weeks, then swapped the smaller size back on. Found that I vastly preferred the smaller size.

Re: "Worst gun I ever bought was..."

I had an Intratec AB10. Purchased new for $150, years later sold it for twice that to someone who really wanted it. Took the $300, and put that toward a full size Bersa Thunder 9mm. I know I got the better part of that deal, never regretted letting that one go. Interesting thing was, the pistol was ...

Re: Holster for SFL

I only have the SFx, but since the Canik TP9 series all share the frame design, I would expect them all to fit. Curious why both the SFL and SFx? I'd love to add an Elite to my collection, but I have other more immediate wants to fill first... (I'd rather add a threaded barrel to my SFx than to go t...
