Anyone have a ATI Titan Extreme 45 acp

Post by bubba68 » Wed Nov 07, 2018 10:53 am

Has anyone purchased an ATI Titan Extreme 45 compact lately and if so how does it perform. They have had some feeding issues in the past and was curious if the newer 45's have fixed the feeding issues.

I don't know anyone who has one, but they definitely aren't priced too bad. Hope they fixed the feeding issues.

My buddy ordered one about 6 months ago. It was picky with ammo but he polished up the feedramp and it was less picky but still had some issues with certain brand HP's. The finish on it is also thin/cheap. Other then that seems like a decent shooter.

Not sure if his is the Extreme its commander size with the decent sights that can be upgraded.

Thanks for the input. A friend of mine was interested in one but was a little worried about it not feeding well. Checked the reviews on line but most were two years old or older. The most common fix to them was to change the recoil spring and polish the feed ramp sometimes change mags too. A LGS has them on sale for $400 which is not to bad of a price. If you have to end up changing the recoil spring though it adds another $50 to the price but even at $450 still not too bad of a price for a compact 45

If you need just the recoil spring you should be able to do it for less then $50 unless you're doing guide rod as well. Last one I replaced on a 1911 cost like $12 shipped from midway I think.

It is a dual recoil spring assembly. The typical one they replace it with is for the Kimber Ultra Carry II it runs about $50
