Your Latest Canik Purchase

Post by Janik » Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:43 pm

Sooo, whose bought what lately? I just added another TP9DA to my collection since I shoot the one I already have very well. But the DA isn't anything new, now that it's been out for awhile. When I was at the YouTube Shoot in Georgia this weekend Tristar was there and I finally got to fondle some of the hammer fired offerings. I'm leaning towards a Tristar as my next purchase, and more specifically the P100 or 120. So, what was your last Canik purchase? How satisfied are you with it?

T-100, my Wife's favorite 9mm
Elite - Meh.... It's ok.... I'm thinking about selling it

I got to fondle a couple of the Tristar models at the YouTube shoot last weekend. I have to say I'm very impressed. Gun Shops around me only carry the polymers. They feel really good in the hand, and just as good as my CZ's.

I bought my T-100 used, so I don't know how many rounds went through it before, but I'd say I've got 200 + through it so far... My wife has a bad habit of limp wristing when she shoots (getting better).. The T-100 is the only gun so far that she hasn't had a stovepipe due to that... My SF and a few other pistols that she has shot of mine all have suffered the same issues of stovepipe when she limp wrists them... I think I paid $300.00 for it... all with original box, manuals, 3 mags...

I bought a C-100 in May to go with my T-120, TP9SFx and an Elite. I'm favoring the hammer fired guns right now and shooting them almost exclusively. I should pass the 10,000 round mark on the T-120 this afternoon. I think the C-100 is fantastic but I can't shoot it as well as the T-120. I guess I need to shoot it more to correct that.

I've been favoring hammer fired in general lately. I recently got a CZ P07 and love it, and I also have a few 1911's now. IDK why, but I'm really enjoying hammer fired again. I haven't owned one for a few years, but find them coming home with me. Now to add a Tristar or two to my collection.

Yesterday went out and bought an Elite in OD green. We have a 72 hour waiting period so I can't pick it up till Monday.

Do you have to wait 72 hours if you have a CC permit?

Yes, it makes absolutely no sense. Carrying one on ya and then have to wait to buy another. Illinios is a goofy state.

Ahh, say no more. I try to avoid Illinois as much as possible. Unfortunately living on the Mississippi River in Iowa, I have to travel into Illinois frequently.

TP9SFx in FDE, Sprinco enhanment kit, 28N Glock spring and Vortex Venom 6moa dot.

I am doing an extensive search on the Warren suppressor sights recently listed. Just need the front or at least the dimensions of the front sight.

I’m sure other manufacturers models fit but a guess without dimensions.
