Just asking - is there any downside to leaving us logged in for, say, 8 hours instead of the relatively short time that we are allowed now?

I understand that there has to be some limit for security and maybe bandwidth, but this isn't a bank...

I would prefer that the quick links menu be replaced by button that are always there, across the top or top to bottom in the corner where they are. Rationale: one less click to navigate. I find myself constantly wanting to refresh on "unread posts". I have to run to the top left corner, hit the pulldown menu, read the options and they mouse to the right one. Old site, it's there and one click is muy bien.
Any chance of adding "unread posts" to the menu bar? Just like FAQ and Knowledge Base. 👌 👍 🙌 👏

Hi Ghostwolf308,

I agree that some of the Quick LInks items need to be on the menu bar. I use the New Post link many times a day and a direct link would be helpful. I also would love to see the Last post in a thread box made bigger. You have to be very precise now with that little box. When ever you can get to it.

Hi Ghostwolf308,

Real good job on the new buttons. A BIG improvement over the drop down menu. Thanks a lot.

I do my best to make sure useful changes are made in a timely fashion. However @LT USN (Ret.) tips in the form of cajun recipes are gladly excepted :D

Here's a very minor, non-operational problem; look at the attached picture. Right hand side, top & bottom show "7 found matches" for unread. Left Hand side, under unread messages in the button shows 11.

Been driving me nuts (most nuts) all day.

I think thats because the main counter is counting all posts where the search is counting threads. So if two people post in the same thread one counts it as two the other counts it as one. Ill look at it and see what I can find

Hey, y'all. Did we recently change a setting so links open on the same browser tab rather than opening a new one? Is that even a thing you can control from there?

Ok. Thanks. I think this may be a Silk browser issue. Ad links on the page open in a new tab. Links in posts open a new tab, but also open in the original tab. Nothing earth shattering, just something new.
