Competition Holster for Tristar P-120

I have typically shot poly-framed guns for Steel Challenge (& once in USPSA) and had no qualms using a poly holster for them (I have used Uncle Mikes, Fobus, Safariland, Comp Tac & Blade Tech). I now have a P-120 on order and was wondering what basic USPSA/SC shooters typically use for the metal frame guns: poly or leather? I want to reduce the holster wear as much as possible but still have the gun safe and secure (and the holster must be affordable since I won't use it a whole lot - no Grand Master material here  ). I appreciate your feedback in advance.

I guess I stumped the field on this one. :) Well, if anyone comes up with any feedback, I will definitely listen before I buy something custom.

Good question. I don't recall anyone on here talking about using their P120 for competition. Not saying they don't, just not familiar with anyone discussing it.

I think for competition a custom kydex holster would be the way to go. Most of the wear on my guns is on the nose of the slide, and nothing really that bad. The last leather holster I owned was for a SW 41 mag...don't miss that bad boy!

I have a couple holsters from KT Mech and they are really nice. Here's a link for the CZ SP01...

Thank you for the feedback and that link to KT Mech. I found Cook's Holsters on line and he actually makes holsters for the TriStars so now to decide if this gun should become a Comp gun or just stay a Range baby. :)
