Re: The Canik Picture Thread!

Have you seen this pistol? Designed by the same folks who designed the Scorpion and sold the design/rights to CZ, to manufacture. The Alien from Laugo Arms is going to be a serious game changer in the competition pistol circuit. Unit prices are rumored to be in the STI custom pistol range. http://w...

Re: SW22 Victory

Hi McCanik, I have a Victory and it is a great gun. Very accurate and good balance for the weight. The trigger is nice but I wish it broke a little crisper. I like the trigger well enough that I haven't bought an after market trigger that is available and inexpensive. If you haven't discovered Tande...

Re: Gunsmithing Books

Hi Broxson, If you are interested in gun books then take a look at Brownells.com. They have a large variety and most are very good. The advantage of books is they provide detail information about parts and materials. If you want to gunsmith a specific gun they offer manuals for many guns. They also ...

Re: TP9SFT

Hi viclava, Welcome to the Forum. The TP9SFT is a new model and just not a lot around yet. It is a basic TP9SF with a threaded barrel and suppressor height sights. I don't know if there has been any changes to the mechanics of the gun but the information about the TP9SF/TP9SFx should apply to your g...

Re: The Elite Combat is almost here!

I think the Century sites shows all of their Canik guns at a higher retail price. This is a brand new gun and I would expect the price to be higher on their site. At least for a while. Prepper has them for $700.

Re: Forced Destruction of 15-Round Mags Is Constitutional Says Federal Judge

Gun owners will probably lose this one. They should be fighting to make the state provide replacement 10 round magazines for every one destroyed or turned in.

Re: Freedomsmith Trigger Bite

Wanted to bring everyone up to date on the trigger bite problem and the broken safety dongle. It took a while but yesterday I received a new safety dongle in the color I requested. I installed the new safety dongle into the Freedomsmith trigger but have not installed the trigger in my SF yet. So Fre...

Re: I guess you could call this Elite range report III

Hi higgybaby, I am 83 and it is discouraging that I can't shoot small groups like I use. I noticed this week that I was more aware of the recoil of my FS than I have been in the past. It does seem to me that I can shoot better groups by shooting faster with the 9mm. I have a new S&W Victory 22LR and...

Re: Basic Tools Loadout for Beginner

Hi Brandon, If you are going to work on your guns and want to break down the receiver to change triggers or give a good cleaning you need stuff. First thing to learn is not to buy cheap overseas tools that won't hold up. I have a set of flat nose punches that I bought back in the 70s and they are st...

Hi 6712Halit,

With the corners clipped like they are, it looks great. Why do you think the sight blade is not sitting level on the gun?

Yes John, that is correct. Freedomsmith is a straight up outfit and I wouldn't hesitate buying from them. They refunded my money with out me asking. Re: Freedomsmith Trigger Bite

I contacted Freedomsmith and they said this is the second broken safety that has been reported. They were able to duplicate the breakage. They said it looked like the problem was the trigger was pulled with too much force before the safety was fully depressed. So it was an uncommon action by the sho...

Re: Freedomsmith Trigger Bite

Hi Everyone, Here is an update on the Freedomsmith Trigger Bite problem I was having. I did find that the bite was not as bad with lower powered ammo but still uncomfortable. I experimented with my grip and finger position but didn't find that to be a problem. I decided that I would shoot it a coupl...
