Re: Holosun 507C Red Dot Pistol Optic

I've been eyeballing Holosun. Thanks for the video. I'm seriously considering this over the Vortex Venom for my SFx.

Re: PPQ M2 SC

I carry the Walther P99c daily, which is the predecessor to the PPQ. I've never shot the PPQ version, but the P99c is a great shooter, and I've never had an issue with it at all. I also have the pinky extension on my mags, as the grip feels a little short without it. Although, it's still manageable ...

Re: West Central Ga dealers?

Does anyone know of any stocking brick and mortar Canik dealers in the West Central Ga (Columbus/ Ft. Benning) area? Need to feel/handle one before buying. Thanks! I looked on the Canik USA website and didn't see a list of dealers. You could send them an email or use their contact form. They may be...

Full Conceal??

So, Full Conceal has been around for awhile now and I'm sure almost everyone is aware of them. I'm really on the fence about this product. I like that people are trying to be innovative in the gun industry, but I'm not sure this is for me. On the other hand, since I have a few extra Caniks laying ar...

Re: AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

So hypothetically, you may want to hypothetically have a reasonable amount of hermetically sealed green tip stored safely away, hypothetically. I've avoided green tip because from what I've read, it ice picks on flesh and doesn't do as much damage as 55gr. However, you raise an interesting point, b...

Re: AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

Outside in times of "civil unrest" (I like that better than SHTF): AR w/ 62gr or 64gr Gold Dots. I have the Speer GD and Federal Fusion 62 to 64gr as well at the ready. But I do have a question for everyone since most people are more knowledgeable than I am. With the Fusion and GD being barrier bli...

The Canik Picture Thread!

Someone suggested we get another dedicated picture thread going on this new(ish) forum. Post up pics of your Caniks and tell us a little about them. I'll get the thread kicked off with my humble Canik collection. Other brands of firearms are ok to include if pictured with a Canik. 20180606_192630Sma...

Thx LT.

I am surprised that there is not a dedicated picture thread here on this forum. Least I didn't find one searching around.
We had one on the old forum. We can definitely get one going again on this one.

Re: Greetings All

Welcome to the forum. Excellent choice in selecting the Elite. Both my Elites are the most accurate firearms I've ever owned. My other Caniks are a close second, but the Elite for some reason is a damn laser beam. Let us know if you have any questions.

Canik TP9DA and CZ P07

I headed to the range yesterday since I needed some "trigger therapy". I figured I'd keep it limited so I only took one of my DA's and my CZ P07. Both of these firearms are two of my favorites and always enjoyable to shoot. The DA that I took is my nightstand gun, so I left the Olight PL Mini on it ...

Re: Striker or Hammer for Conceal Carry?

I'd like to add a P07 to the collection, or something else same size with an ambi decoder. The PX4 just wasn't comfortable. I'm really liking the P07. Sold off all my hammer fired years ago, but have come full circle and have an interest in them again. I just wish I could get the TP9DA trigger in a...

Re: Striker or Hammer for Conceal Carry?

I've seen some pretty heated debates on this subject from many different forums, however the end is "whatever your most comfortable with". In that I 100% agree. I've seen posts ranging from a .22 derringer to a full sized 6" 357 magnum.... I'll give you my journey. I've been Texas CHL (LTC now) for...

Usually hammer fired for me....and it's usually one of the Bersa T380's
I keep saying I'm going to get a Bersa 380 one of these days. I've read a lot of good reviews on them. I'm also interested in their 9mm version they offer. I think it's the TPR9c if I remember correctly with a 3.3" barrel.

Striker or Hammer for Conceal Carry?

I see this debate often on other gun forums, so I figure it might be a good topic of discussion here. Since Canik doesn't offer something in my preferred carry size, I typically CC my Walther P99c. It is a striker fired, but it is also a DA/SA, just like the Canik V2 and DA models. This discussion i...

Re: AR15 Optics

Yeah I'll never forget shooting 300 meter silhouettes with iron sights But we did and they fell. Probably does help to have young eyes! As others pointed out the optic has to be picked with the mission in mind. Good times. Most years I qualified expert with iron sights. I'm still a decent shot with...

Re: AR15 Optics

My main AR has a Meopta ZD 1-4x22mm RD. It is a truly premium optic with glass equal to $1500 1-6x optics, but can be had for $650-750 on the used market because there is no demand for a premium 1-4x optic right now. Construction is top notch, and so is the eyebox. The only downside is that the ret...
