Re: Liability Insurance for Gun Owners

Check out the NRA's CarryGuard: https://www.nracarryguard.com/ Disclosures: not trying to sell it, not affiliated, don't have it, haven't vetted it, neither recommending nor discouraging it. NRA's Carry Guard is under attack by some states and underwriters; take a look at USCCA as an option. https:...

Liability Insurance for Gun Owners

Off topic of the day : I have through a company, liability insurance for my firearms. If I get into a self-defense incident and I discharge a firearm, there's a pretty good chance I'm going to be sued no matter if what I did was legally justified or not. My policy has a $500,000 limit against Civil...

Re: AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

I live in a duplex with neighbors close by. Look at frangible rounds if you want to go with the AR solution. One on the covenants of firearms is knowing whats behind your target. In a duplex you do not. You don't need a lot of these rounds and they can be had for <$.50/round; just enough to fight o...

Re: AR-SBR-Shotgun etc. for home defense

It all depends... How your home is set up and are there shared walls, as an example, this makes a huge difference. I live in a ranch-style home with the nearest living neighbor is 200-300 ft. away. Many, many trees surround the house and the two main entrances face towards inside a carport with a th...

he upgraded the sights and put in an Apex trigger kit
I added the Apex trigger kit, night sights and the extended mag floor plates for the pinky to have fun with the rest of the fingers.

Re: Striker or Hammer for Conceal Carry?

M&P 9C with one in the hole. Always an OWB holster (Alien Gear) and a spare mag in a Leatherman holder. My 1911 is a wear-at-the-range while doing RSO duties for me. It's not that I'm not comfortable with a hammer-fired SA sidearm, mines just a little too big to conceal/carry. And it looks too good ...

Re: 9mm Carbine

In an AR9 one thing to look for is Last Round Bolt Hold Open (LRBHO). Like a semi auto pistol, when the last round is fired the slide locks back.
